Mydina Restaurant has the best spot in Desa Setapak, located just next to the Wangsa Maju LRT. Upon dis-embarking from the LRT train, one will pass this mamak restaurant. Serving one of the best maggi goreng I've had in a while, they are always packed no matter what time of the day. Be sure to re-iterate your orders clearly to the person serving you, as they tend to forget the orders once in a while when they are too busy.
NZ Curry House Wangsa Maju |
NZ Curry House Wangsa Maju
Jalan Wangsa Delima II,
53300 Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Phone Contact: +603-4149 1500
NZ Curry House Wangsa Maju covers a very wide area just opposite Wangsa Walk mall. Folks from all over come here for their wide variety of food. They do serve everything under the sun, from delectable naans, ala-carte malay food, to roti canai, tandoori chicken, and many more. Free parking spot is available, but be careful and watch out for the numerous potholes! Another famous and highly packed mamak spot in Setapak, they have a more systematic ordering system to ensure your orders get delivered correctly and on time.

Danau Kota area is known for its high density residential condominiums, houses and apartments. With this amount of people, it's heaven sent to have a 2-storey mamak stall, restaurant Siti Zubaidah for those nightly food excursions. Go there for the ambiance, air conditioned and comfortable, with your usual mamak fares ranging from roti canai, to nasi kandar. There are a number of ala-carte hot orders too, namely the maggi goreng, nasi goreng, mee mamak, mee soup and much more.
Steven's Corner Prima Setapak |

Jalan Genting Klang, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Who doesn't know Steven's Corner, with branches in PJ and other spots in the Klang Valley. Their branch in Setapak has a very bright neon signage, air conditioned with a rather nice ambiance. There's TVs everywhere to ensure football matches can be seen from every corner, serving your usual mamak fares. My favourite here would be their naan cheese, and do try out their Iced Milo as they do not skimp on the ingredients.
Oh? Steven's, branch of the one in Taman Tun a long time ago, 2010?
