Dot Arena Cosplay Party Event By FunPlus @ Zouk KL

Have you heard of Dot Arena? The action-card-battle Role Playing Game (RPG) that has taken Asia by storm, hosted their first and largest offline party in Malaysia. Fun times, where players of the game joined in the social gathering commencing from 7pm to 10pm at Zouk KL. I was invited to check out the event, and it was pretty interesting to say the least.

The Dot Arena players literally filled up the whole main room of Zouk KL, awaiting with anticipation  for the gifts and lucky draw presents that were up for grabs. For the party, Funplus, the US-China based mobile social gaming company and the developer of Dot Arena invited professional dancers and Cosplayers to the event.

All the gamers were welcomed to don the costumes of their favourite Dot Arena characters. It was a tad disappointing though, as nobody actually came dressed up as the characters, so all we had were the invited cosplayers to brighten up the stage.

Yutong, a rather sweet lady who so happened to be the Head of Emerging Markets of FunPlus stepped forward to address the crowd which was predominantly male that night. I found it interesting not many female players actually showed up at the event.

"It is out first and largest party that we have ever had and we are excited to host it here in Malaysia. We will organize more activities in the future, such as the e-Sports competition, to bring more fun and joy to our Dot Masters", she added.

During the party event, the project manager of Dot Arena himself, Kenneth Law announced some rather exiting new features of the game. Dot Arena is ready to dip its toes into the world of competitive e-sports through a mini-bluetooth Player versus Player (PvP) competition. This new game feature allows all players to battle it out with their friends side-by-side.

"We want to have this game feature in place to allow players to exchange strategies and experience on how they go about winning battles. It is also an ideal platform for them to hone their abilities and dexterity skills", Kenneth commented.

Attractive lucky draw prizes were thrown into the fray, with an iPhone 6, iPad mini, Xiaomi smartphones and many more gadgets getting things heated up throughout the night. I really wanted to get lucky, unfortunately it wasn't my time to win that iPhone 6.

Loyal players of Dot Arena who have shown their support for the game throughout got to draw a 'lottery' where they stood a chance to win in-game prizes, such as Purple items, Diamonds, Soul Stones of Pandor, Vega, Blake and many more.

Dot Arena is a new breed of card battle game, which provides engaging gameplay, strikingly cute and epic heroes and the PvP mode where users can play against real human players. The gameplay is simple yet innovative, where players' skills will be tested with the variety of ability mechanics and hero combinations.

Available for free download on the App Store and Google Play, for more information do check out Dot Arena's official website at dotarena.com . Dot Arena really took the effort to connect with their players, which is a very good thing in my books. Here's to more fun gaming events!
