MTV World Stage 2014 With Sailor Jerry

So there I was last Saturday night, to catch another edition of MTV World Stage Malaysia 2014, this time at Sunway Surf Beach. I've been to a couple MTV World Stages in the past, and this sixth edition takes the cream, due to the fact Sailor Jerry is making its debut in Malaysia through this event.

MTV World Stage 2014 this year had a rather unique line up of  multi-genre artists namely B.O.B, Yuna, Boy Republic and Thaitanium. I would say most were there to enjoy Yuna and her renditions, as well as to dance to the hip dance moves from Boy Republic, Thaitanium  and B.O.B. It was held at the beaches of Sunway Lagoon, with a very unique tent and space specially put up by Sailor Jerry.

It was all about exclusivity, with the VIP pass holders of MTV World Stage 2014 getting the chance to enjoy the Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum along with other snacks and chill over at the Sailor Jerry tent. I pretty much enjoyed myself especially when given the chance to snap pictures amidst the uniquely vintage backdrop.

 Inside the Sailor Jerry exclusive VIP tent, we got to enjoy their cocktails, namely the “Jerry Loves Ginger”, an electrifying combination of Sailor Jerry, ginger beer and lime wedge, as well as the “Backyard Tea”, a refreshing blend of Sailor Jerry, Oolong tea and fresh lemon juice. There were folks having their 'tattoos' done as well.

Of course, we were there to enjoy the music as well, with Sailor Jerry Rum keeping us pumped up throughout the night. The performances were pretty good, with Thaitanium and the Korean group Boy Republic setting the stage alight early on into the night.
