Tony Roma's Malaysia New Beginnings Second Edition Menu

Tony Roma's Malaysia kicked off 2014 recently with their New Beginnings promotion, getting rather nice reviews for their Grilled Focaccia Bruschetta and 4 lamb burgers (Summertime, Nacho, Kaboom , and Luau burgers. I had the opportunity last week to check out their latest New Beginnings Second Edition menu with more offerings, this time more poultry dishes.

#1 Chicken & Roasted Vegetable Salad - RM22.90
#1 Chicken & Roasted Vegetable Salad - RM22.90

We kicked off the meal with appetizers in the form of Tony Roma's Chicken & Roasted Vegetable Salad. Frankly speaking, I was a tad disappointed that the new beginnings 2nd edition menu did not include their famous ribs this time around. The salad consisted of walnuts, golden raisin, diced avocado, Bleu cheese crumbles, grilled chicken and homemade roasted vegetables. There were just so many different types of goodness inside. Served with Sweet Vidalia Onion dressing, it did not really tickle my fancy though.

#2 Roasted Half Chicken with Roasted Root Vegetables - RM29.90
#2 Roasted Half Chicken with Roasted Root Vegetables - RM29.90

If you're a big fan of roasted chicken, then the Roasted Half Chicken with Roasted Root Vegetables might just be the dish for you. For me, I was still miffed there wasn't any ribs for that evening. Anyway coming back to this poultry dish, we have some really tender roasted half chicken topped with chicken Demi-glace and roasted root vegetables. Served with fragrant rice, it can be a meal on its own.

#3 Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls - RM14.90
#3 Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls - RM14.90

Surprisingly, this appetizer was the highlight for me that evening. The Buffalo Chicken Eggrolls came in a platter of four crispy eggrolls stuffed with grilled chicken, tossed with Buffalo wing sauce, diced red onions and cheddar cheese. I like the crispiness of the outer coat, coupledwith the cheesy texture and nice buffalo wing sauce, this dish is highly recommended.

#4 Peach & Blackberry Cobbler - RM9.90

Our dessert that evening came in the form of this Peach & Blackberry Cobbler. I always like to have ice creams after a nice meal out, and here we have warm peach and blackberry cobbler with a cinnamon crust, topped with vanilla ice cream! Remember to get it into your mouth before the ice cream melts, as then it won't be as nice.

Four virgin Romaritas (non-alcoholic) were also introduced in conjunction with this New Beginnings 2nd Edition promotion. Shown above were two of it, namely the Mango Romarita, and the Wild Berry Romarita. Check out below on the drinks descriptions.

Romarita (RM14.90)
Tony Roma’s ultimate tart and sweet pairing of orange juice, fresh lime juice, and lime sour mix that shaken with ice and served in a sugar-rimmed glass.

Strawberry Romarita (RM14.90)
Served in a sugar-rimmed glass with a strawberry garnish, this strawberry lover’s delight drink is a mixed of strawberry, orange juice, lime sour mix, and fresh lime juice that shaken with ice.

Wild Berry Romarita (RM14.90)
Served with a glass dabbed in sugar, this simply amazing Wild Berry Romarita was a mixed of wild berry, orange juice, fresh lime juice, and lime sour that shaken with ice for the chill finishing.

Mango Romarita (RM14.90)
Served in a sugared glass with a fresh orange wedge, this Mango Romarita is an adventurous island mix of mango, orange juice, fresh lime juice, and lime sour mix that shaken with ice.
