The Roof @ 1 First Avenue Bandar Utama Media Preview

The latest edition in the entertainment circuit, The Roof has arrived in town. Come this 1st November 2013, the largest premium dining and entertainment hub of 2013 in Malaysia will open to the public. Located in the heart of Bandar Utama at 1 First Avenue, I had the privilege to be invited for their exclusive media preview "hard hat launch" style.

The Roof is a premium integrated dining and entertainment hub offering patrons the ultimate experience with star attraction in the Klang Valley.  With Asia's first and only luxury bar nestled on top of an infinity grassed helipad, it provides an unprecedented panoramic 360 degree view of the city and greater Klang Valley.

With over 50,000 square feet of dining, entertainment and event space, The Roof actually consists of five distinct outlets catering to a broad spectrum of customers; Stratosphere, Signature Restaurant Bar & Lounge, Play, Malt & Leaf and Score. Read more about it further on in this post.

Upon arrival at the lobby of 1 First Avenue, we were promptly ushered up to the top floor of the building, aptly named the "Sky" floor on the lift button. I did not know The Roof consisted of these five cool venues initially, as it was rather overwhelming when we walked around the vast space to cater all the cool outlets.

It was indeed nice to see so many blogger and friends attending the media launch, as we were brought on a quick tour across the five outlets starting from Score, Malt & Leaf, Play, Signature, before ending up on the awesome rooftop Stratosphere.

With a capacity of 150pax and a space of 3000sqft, Score is the ultimate sports bar for the sports enthusiasts. A really nice spot to chill after work, we were told Score offers attractive beer deals and delectable finger food for patrons.

The tour then proceeded to Malt & Leaf, where this handsome hunk Carl Graham gave us a brief introduction on the outlet. With a capacity of 100pax and 3000sqft, Malt & Leaf is for the cigar aficionado and discerning single malt enthusiast wanting to relish in fine cigar and delectable glass of whisky under the stars.

The star attraction of The Roof is the luxury open-air rooftop bar nestled on top of an infinity grassed helipad, the first and only in Asia, which offers an unprecedented panoramic bird's eye view of the greater Klang Valley. We were ushered up to Stratosphere for the night party.

An ideal setting for the affluent, sophisticated trendsetters, Stratosphere was indeed the perfect spot offering a beautiful backdrop for niche events such as garden wedding 'in the sky', fashion shows and product launches. We partied on a space of 16,000 sqft!
