Maju Home Concept Puchong Retail Store Grand Opening
It was a Sunday morning when Janice and I headed to Maju Home Concept's latest gallery in USJ for their grand opening. Aptly named the Maju Home Concept, they were established back in 1987 with their first outlet store in Setapak. One of Malaysia's pioneers, Maju Home Concept offers customers an all-inclusive furniture shopping experience under one roof in this really big "display house".

Lots of flowers for the grand opening of Maju Home Concept |
Arriving at the venue at 10.30am, it wasn't the best of days as the haze was thick. That did not dampen anyone's spirit though as everyone seems really hyped up over the opening. Before the ribbon-cutting ceremony, we were given the chance to explore all 3 floors of Maju Home Concept, which Janice and I did happily.
Furnitures and accesories beautiful laid out, the view upon entering Maju Home Concept |
At the time of it's first opening back in 1987 in Kuala Lumpur, the concept was considered unique, which really does benefit its customers, in terms of affordable pricing and diversity of choice. Potential buyers get to view and visualize how the furniture and furnishings would look like, amidst the setting of a real home.

Tastefully furnished, all 3-storey of the newly opened Maju Home Concept store housed virtually anything you would want for your new home. They had furnitures ranging from Sofas, Kitchen cabinets, to the furnishing for the bedroom and bathroom and a whole lot in between. It was indeed a "One Stop Furniture Mall" if you asked me.

It wasn't long before we were informed the grand opening ceremony was about to begin. Heading to the front entrance, we were treated to a welcoming speech by Maju Home Concept's managing director Mr Low, before the entertaining and loud Lion Dance commenced. Mr Low, in his speech thanked everyone present for their support throughout the years.

And it's official, Congratulations on the opening of Maju Home Concept in USJ! |
According to Mr Low, one of Maju Home Concept's core strengths stems from its strong relationship with their suppliers. Quoted from him as below,
"We've always believed in building solid relationships with local manufacturers, as we have faith in the quality and durability of Malaysian furniture products".
"This has enabled us to continue keeping our costs low, and hence continue offering attractive prices to our customers. Of course, we continue to offer new, fascinating designs amidst a real home backdrop, so that customers can see and feel how their furniture would look like, in their own homes"

During his speech, Mr Low added that in the new Maju Home Concept mall, they have provided a wide range of home furnishing products, which include curtains, built-in kitchen cabinets, kitchen and bathroom appliances, sofas, lighting, designer furniture, children's furniture and office furniture. The mall will feature one of the largest bedding exhibition halls in town showcasing a diverse variety of international mattress brands.

Overall, I was pretty impressed with the whole concept, especially it being three storey high. The Maju Home Concept wasn't exactly 100% equipped yet, as I saw workers still doing some final touch ups. I'm sure once everything is in its place, the Maju Home Concept Retail Store would definately be one of the "must-go" spot for folks looking for furnitures.
