Ben's KLCC
Having passed this restaurant countless of times, I finally took the chance to dine in at Ben's in KLCC last night. Newly launched around April this year, Ben's KLCC has been a favourite with locals and tourists alike because of its strategic location as well as its really nice ambience. Upon entering Ben's KLCC, I was intrigued by the comfy lighting and decor. There were even a couple of sections in the restaurant where patrons can sit to enjoy the view of the streets below.

Comfortable seats and nice ambience |
“Ben’s KLCC was launched April 15th 2011 and is modelled after a Manhattan townhouse. The menu concentrates on international cuisine, ranging from refreshing appetisers and yummy salads to hearty East and West main courses, delicious snacks and luscious desserts."

The rather unique menu |
There were only 2 of us that night, hence we only ordered two main dishes on top of our drinks. Taking up a seat at the end of Ben's KLCC, I had an overall view of the whole area, soaking in the ambiance. Check out some of the food we ordered. I noticed a rather interesting item on our tables, which was some cards of some sort, titled "Recipes" and "Table Topics".
Of Reciped and Table Topics |
Taking a peek at the "Table Topic" cards out of curiosity, I soon found out it was a novelty way of striking up a conversation with your friends at the table. It never happens with me though, as I can talk on and on, but I guess it may be a suitable table game should you find yourself stuck with a boring guest. Check out below on what we ordered for the night.
#1 Traditional Fish and Chips - RM28.90++ |
#2 Lasagna Beef - RM18.90++ |
#3 Affogato - RM7.90 |
My "makan" partner for the night had the Lasagna Beef, and after trying a bite, I would say it tasted really good, with generous amount of cheese being thrown in. The sauce goes very well with the beef too. Overall it was a good dinner, and the environment was really nice. It's no wonder I see so many people queuing up at Ben's KLCC every meal time just to get a spot.

Love Ben's in KLCC. One of my fave haunts for meals with clients these days. Prices are fair for its quality ad portion.
ReplyDeleteI always wanted to visit Ben's after seeing it's nice interior and also ambiance! Food looks good although it's a bit pricy but it's in KLCC la so it is understandable. I wonder who is ur makan partner :)

ReplyDelete[Movie review] MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - GHOST PROTOCOL
i had wanted to try Ben's during ramadhan time for berbuka but like you said, so many patrons, people queuing up until booked in advance few days.. so never got the chance to try it out.. maybe one of this days if i sesat at klcc, i'll give this a try.. :)
ReplyDeleteI went there today... Ordered nasi lemak. They served me with uncooked prawns... i call the waiter and told them nicely "i think the prawns are still raw. Not a single word, they took my plate away... Guess what they did? They scooped the prawns off the plate, cooked it, and put it back onto the plate... and served the same plate to me again... I see the logic - cook the prawns, but i was very shocked to see they didn't not apologize, nor change to a fresh plate... seriously disappointing!
