I found myself dining in this restaurant more times than I can remember, not because it is exceptionally good, but more of convenience, affordability and speed. I realize I always set foot to dine at
Taiwan Recipe, previously known as
Little Taiwan every time I'm rushing to get a bite before a movie. This time it wasn't any different, as I needed to get something to eat before my movie started and Taiwan Recipe in Midvalley Megamall just next to the cinema was my choice of dinner venue.

The environment was simple, nice and clean |
We were spoilt for choice for taiwanese styled food, from fried food to braised, steamed, and soupy mee and food. Check out my previous writeup on their other outlets which I have dropped by as below.

This time around, I took the Taiwanese Special Chicken Sausage set which came with multiple dishes and rice. Check out below on what is included in this set which goes for RM 12.90+. I find it quite worth the price because it was a complete dinner meal in itself, with meat, vegetables, rice, soup and fruits

My favourite taiwan chicken sausage, these are great stuff! |
 |
Rice with minced meat |
 |
Soup with beef balls |
 |
A small serving of "kim chi" like vegetable |
 |
Black Soy Sauce Taufu |
My partner took the Mee set with crispy salted chicken, which wasn't bad at all. The mee was quite plain, but the crispy fried chicken meat tasted awesome. Check out below for what she had that night.

My favourite drink, Honey Dew Pearl Milk Tea - RM6.90 |
The best thing about Taiwan Recipe outlets to me is the speed the food are served. It's literally a "fast food" chain. I've heard some negative reviews on Taiwan Recipe food, but to me, I can't say no to any Taiwan Sausages. Will I drop by here again should I have a tight schedule to catch a movie? I believe I would.
haha the place i met Kenwooi for the first time..

ReplyDeleteLike Taiwan chicken sausage too, tad sweet and spicy, yum!
ReplyDeleteWe have a Taiwan place here too...or maybe more than one. Food looks like those in your photos - not very appealling. Tried...did not think anything was great, bland mostly...so I never went back again. Not cheap...
ReplyDeleteHi Issac. Tq for like my post at Kelab Blogger.
ReplyDeleteWow banyaknya foods...make me feel a lil bit hungry....and counting how many hours left before breaking fast..hahahhaha
Kah Mon, Taiwan sausages are my all time favourite. om nom nom nom!
ReplyDeleteNyum! their set got many dishes wor! worth it!
ReplyDeletereckon i need to give them another chance.
ReplyDeletefood is fast but service from my experience has been quite bad. rather sloppy and mixing up orders.
The drink looks refreshing! Ahhh....
ReplyDeletethat will be the same set i normally will order when i go there, haha.. though i find the sausage a little soggy for my liking, those taiwanese sausages elsewhere are more crunchy don't you think so??
ReplyDeleteahhh... at last can comment.. funny.. can do it here in office though.. wonder what happened to the home one..
ReplyDeletewhen u mentioned taiwan, it reminded me of the toilet bowls concept restaurant.. :p but this is not the same one.. for RM12.90, not bad la...
delicious!
ReplyDeleteNice revamp! Love the shots :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Just went to the e@Curve outlet last week! I would say the food quite nice and price pretty reasonable : )
ReplyDeletefood is so so but kinda overpriced...
ReplyDeletemany of the Taiwan food serve very fast, as in population growth and life getting heavier, all want to fast and go. So Taiwan people very smart and think a solution how to make fast food and fast money at the same time :P
ReplyDeleteif you go taiwan for vacation, why not try to visit the night market over there? multi varieties and colorful food! hahaha
ReplyDeletei always love taiwan sausage and milk tea! :D
