Wealth & Destiny Fengshui Workshop By Joey Yap
The full day feng shui workshop displayed with prominent words "Wealth & Destiny" by Joey Yap. Now who doesn't want to get a chance to take charge of their wealth, career and relationships? When I was given the opportunity to catch this workshop free courtesy of Celcom, I snapped at the chance. The workshop was held at KL Convention centre to a full convention hall packed with eager participants.
First off, if you don't know who's this awesome feng shui master yet, check out some information on Joey Yap below.
The crowd there were overwhelming to say the least. It hit me that people are starting to take notice of how fengshui impacts our lives and are willing to learn up the knowledge to stay ahead in life.
I for one am very interested in how the "BaZi" works. So what is BaZi? In my own words, I can roughly summarize it to be your destiny calculated out via various permutations. A more elaborate explanation is as below.
BaZi, which translates to Eight Characters in English. is an ancient form of Chinese Astrology. It is part of the original five classical studies of Chinese civilisation, and is part of the field of ‘Ming’ or Life. Ancient Chinese sages were extremely interested in developing a system of studying a person’s life – their character, their relationships, the events that will happen or not happen in a person’s life, their wealth, their health. BaZi, and an alternative system, called Purple Star Astrology, is the culmination of many years of research and development by Chinese sages, to find a system to accurately predict how a person’s life will unfold over the years.

We were told to print out our complimentary BaZi profiling chart from the web, which I did obediently. The BaZi chart is free, and if you can get your personalized BaZi profile chart too at this link. (http://www.masteryacademy.com/wd2011/bazi/)
The moment I entered the convention hall where the seminar was to be held, I remembered my days back in university, where we had rows of chairs all facing the stage. It was awesome how a hall can accommodate so many people.
The seminar was a full day seminar beginning from 10am until 5pm with some breaks in between for lunch and tea. We were taught how to refer to our BaZi chart and went through 3 levels of lessons. BaZi had three levels to learn up, and Joey Yap went through with us step by step all the way.
Level 1: Day Master
Who You Are - Reveals your basic character, your essential personality traits, strengths and weaknesses
Level 2: Structures
How You Approach the World - Reveals your personality in relation to the world, your mode of operation in terms of behavious and attitude
Level 3: Profile
What You Do - Reveals your individual lifestyle, roles you play in the world as a unique individual.
Joey Yap is a really good speaker, as he guided the participants through. With his witty, straight to the point answers and powerful speech laced with humor, there wasn't a moment throughout the 9 hour session where I felt bored. In fact, after the seminar ended, I actually went and purchased three of his books on BaZi. Can you feel my excitement to learn more on this subject? Once I'm done reading the books, I might share the main points here.
