Every time I visit Wangsa Walk Mall in Wangsa Maju, be it to catch a movie, to shop, or to have a quick dinner, I always find it tough to get a nice place to eat. The eateries here are so limited, not to mention pricey. Anyway, there's this place called Little Wok Kitchen which I found to be reasonable in terms of food quality and pricing. Bear in mind it's nowhere near the prices of your neighborhood kopitiam though.

Tonight, my partner and I decided to stop by Little Wok for a quick dinner before heading to TGV cinema for a movie. I noticed Little Wok hired quite a number of new workers, which aren't local and are pretty young. It must be for the cheaper labour cost.

We ordered two dishes, and as usual my partner ordered a soupy dish, while I went for the beef fried rice. Check it out below.

Well, the food isn't bad, in fact it was really tasty. But too tasty isn't always a good thing, which got me thinking how much taste enhancing powder "think Ajinomoto" have they added into the dishes. I'm not blindly saying this, as almost always I feel really thirsty after a meal here. Still, it was one of the very few reasonably priced eateries here without resorting to fast foods.

ReplyDeleteA~ha. Looks special. Our dish served in a wok. :D
ReplyDeleteYou love going to this type of places, it seems. Usually nice but not great...and relatively more expensive. Yup...lots of msg, that's for sure. I hate the after taste.
ReplyDeleteMakan MSG kar? I won't mind if it tasted really good!^^ However will only go with my husband without the little one lar, bad for kids!TSK tsk!
ReplyDeletesaw this shop before but did not go in
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the lower pricing as compared to the other cafes but the msg thingy is not so great. But then again, it's expected in outside food. For healthier food, Subway is available if you don't mind not having Chinese food. Nice pictures!
ReplyDeleteCW, Choi... i'm already balding... I saw Popeyes, but its fast food, and i'm trying to cut down on fast foods... ><
ReplyDeleteSupia, it's actually this small aluminium woks. :)
ReplyDeleteTekkaus, nowadays in KL a lot of wok served dishes. :)
ReplyDeleteSTP, it's not love, I don't really have a choice. When we're in these shopping complexes, there's rarely anywhere else to eat in.
