Well, I'm just back from my hometown Penang, went back for the weekend. This time around, I made it a point to catch up with a fellow blogger,
Eugene who so happens to be staying at the same neighborhood as me. It was 9.30am in the morning when he called me and we decided to meet for breakfast over some great dim sum.The place was called Maxim Dim Sum Restaurant located in Farlim Penang.

Maxim Dim Sum |
The place was fairly new to me, but I had no problems locating it because it had a rather distinct design to it. Eugene and his wife were already waiting patiently for me there when I arrive 5 minutes later than the scheduled time. I blame it on the lack of parking spots!
|
Nobody reads the menu as everything is laid out in plain sight to pick |
I went ahead to choose my dim sums myself as Eugene and wife had already chosen theirs. There were quite a number of different dim sums to choose from ranging from the ones that are fried, steamed and soupy foods.

More dim sums! |

Don't they all look so appealing? |
Upon ordering the food, I then headed back to our table to have a hearty talk with my dear friend and his wife. It was nice to be able to converse with Eugene in Hokkien, as there are few people in KL to talk to in this dialect. It was even nicer to be able to share our thoughts and views on everything under the sun. From there I found out that Eugene is exactly what I pictured him as, a loving father and husband who is really friendly as well! He's known as the godfather of Penang so I guess I was there to pay my dues as well! Nice guy really! We managed to capture a picture together before continuing with our yummy dim sums.

Overall it was really a good breakfast meal, and the dim sums tasted great. What makes a dim sum good would definately be the freshness of its prawns, and I think the prawns here literally were jumping around in my mouth. Okay, maybe I exaggerated a bit there, but it's really good. The damage came up to about
RM 29 for 3 persons which I feel was very reasonable. Bear in mind I didn't manage to take photos of everything we ordered.
One sentense to sum it all, Great meet-up with a nice blogger over some really delicious food!
