Dome Cafe KLCC

During last weekend's PC Fair, I had the pleasure of meeting up with one of my closest secondary school friend, Mr Ng Yoong Nian. He was staying over at Traders Hotel and called me up just went I was reaching home. My reaction? "I was at KLCC for PC Fair, now I'm reaching home and you call! I'll have to brave the traffic jam back to KLCC!" Anyway I did head back, feeling really glad to be able to meet him.

Dome Cafe KLCC

KLCC was so crowded due to the PC Fair that we couldn't even locate a nice place to sit down and catch up over coffee. His first choice was Coffee Bean because there are some discounts available for Citibank Card holders, but it was packed to the brim. We then headed to Starbucks, and it was the same there as well, all tables occupied! That was when we headed to Dome Cafe which was just next door. Dome cafe happens to have the priciest coffee among the three, but the ambiance was a class higher.

Dome Espreski

Dome Espreski, I was told by my friend that this was a great drink to order, and order we did, 3 cups from the menu. Check out the description for this series of coffee below.

Good as a drink. Great as a dessert.
An Espreski is a mouthful of rich, creamy, chocolatey iced-coffee made of a shot of espresso or chocolate, melded with premium ice cream and crushed ice.
Rich chocolate pieces are blended through and sprinkled on top, offering you a unique, luxuriously smooth experience unlike other ordinary iced coffees.
With eight different flavours, there's a new one to try every day!

Honeycomb Goldrush
Expreski Kids - Fluffy Koala
Coffee Twister

The drinks tasted great, with sweet aroma and taste. But all the sweetness in the world couldn't remove the lump in my throat that's telling me "Check out the prices for these babies!" The cheapest Expreski drink was at least RM18 before tax. I guess I won't be making it a habit to drink here often, once in awhile it's forgivable to indulge. Anyway I was really glad to be able to catch up with my friend over this great tasting coffee.

My best man, Mr Ng and I
