Matrix Global School Malaysia - A Learning Experience

My Visit To Matrix Global School Malaysia

It was always my dream to attend an international or private school, one which did not materialise when I was younger. Hence, it was with great excitement when I visited Matrix Global School Malaysia over at Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan the other day to find out more on what they have to offer. MGS - Matrix Global School is huge, to say the least. Lovely place, read more below.

Upon reaching the compounds of the school, we were warmly greeted by the good folks from Matrix Global School, and quickly ushered to a room for some briefing by the principal of the school, Denise Sinclair. Nulli Secunda, that's the motto, emblazoned across some of the school's logo, which means one campus, one vision, one mission.

One campus, one vision, one mission, Matrix Global School Malaysia is actually made up of two different schools, the Matrix International School and the Matrix Private School. Both had different syllabus, and is opened from pre school up until secondary and beyond. Check it out below.
  • MIS pre school

With an aim to become the top school in Malaysia, Matrix Global School Malaysia encompass a really huge area (20 acres to be exact). I'm awed by the vast fields and classrooms, even the library and studying areas were large. Everything comes in XXL size here to me.

The Quality of the teachers were of a certain level as well, where all teachers have at least a degree in the subjects they are teaching. For expatriate teachers, they are expected to be fully qualified teachers, nothing less. In both schools, there's a rigorous monitoring of teaching and learning with sharing of good practices to develop leaders as well as teachers across the faculty.

  • Effective continual professional development
  • Effective support of learning by facilities

Value added?

  • CAT 4 gives predictions regarding academic achievement
  • Student progress can be mapped against expectations
  • Judgements can be made regarding value added
  • Intervention be put in areas of weakness
  • Learning can become truly individualised
