Next Food Junction @ Klang Parade

Next Food Junction @ Klang Parade

Okay, first off, there's two separate sections to Next Food Junction over at Klang Parade, the halal and non-halal section. One consists of stalls and food which are all halal and the other, the opposite. I was at Klang Parade the other day, and from my initial plan to savour the halal food section, something about these Chinese cuisine at the non-halal section somehow lured me in. Anyway, check out what we had that evening!

Next Food Junction is akin to a food court, yet the air-cond was really cold, and ambiance felt more like a restaurant instead. We have these spacious area, with our choice of food and cuisine to choose from. There were western food, steamed ones, stir fried food, curries, and even porridge and soups. After going a round or two, I settled on the Steamed Rice stall, ordering my Braised Pork with Salted Fish Steamed Rice which turned out really nice!

The Braised Pork with Salted Fish Steamed Rice came served in this rather cute cup/bowl, filled to the brim with rice and ingredients. Since it's steamed, the rice came out really fluffy and soft, while the braised pork went well with salted fish to give out a very fragrant flavour. I had to share this with the mrs, but in my heart I wanted it all for myself!

At the western food stall, they offer everything western from pork chops to chicken chops and the more expensive lamb chops and more. I went for their Fried Chicken Chop which comes with choices of various sauces to drizzle on. I chose the Black Pepper Sauce, because I'm a rather boring person. For more interesting choices, you could try out their Hainanese sauce, mushroom sauce and the likes. Nothing much to shout about, but I do have to commend them for making sure the chicken chop comes out crispy and crunchy.

Wa Tan Hor - RM8.50

The Mrs went for this Wa Tan Hor, which is rather soupy, flavourful enough, but a tad too strong in the enhanced flavour part for my liking. Anyway she liked it, and that's all that matters. That evening, we came in a rather large group, but many of them went to buka puasa in the halal section of Next Food Junction, Klang Parade. Probably the next time I'm in the vicinity, I'll try the other section out!
