ANGSANAcare Receives Cash Donation This Holiday Season
A good effort and event from Suria KLCC and Alamanda shopping malls, an event I could not attend due to other commitments, but I'm sharing the gist of it here today. Suria KLCC and Alamanda shopping malls donated RM16,267 to ANGSANAcare as part of their concerted and continuous efforts in giving back to the community mainly to the underprivileged individuals during this festive season.
ANGSANAcare is a fully registered non-profit Malaysian organization created as a support service to palliative care for underprivileged paediatric patients and their families in government hospitals in Malaysia.

Present at the event were Francis Tan - Chief Operating Officer of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, Ria Thomas - Chairperson of ANGSANAcare, Fartini Zaharuddin - Public Relations & Communications Manager of Suria KLCC Sdn Bhd, and Baldev Singh – General Manager
of Alamanda Shopping Centre.
The Chairperson of ANGSANAcare, Ria Thomas explained, “Paediatric palliative care patients live with fear, stress and uncertainty. ANGSANAcare psychotherapists assess and support the emotional needs of the children in their care.” She added, “They provide play, art and music therapy to these children with the aim of facilitating enjoyment and peace in their last days. Studies prove that these therapies not only allow children to express themselves more freely, but also successfully aid in the reduction of physical pain. Play, art and music therapies help them to focus their minds elsewhere whilst simultaneously creating an outlet for their fragile emotions.”
