Always a fan of Tai Thong's culinary creations, I had the opportunity to try out their all-new black temptations dim sum the other day. Tai Thong is currently running their 4 dim sum specialties from 1 August till 31 October 2015. You must try them out to see the difference.

Pan Seared Dumplings - RM9.80
It's interesting to note that all four of Tai Thong's new black temptations dim sum series has black charcoal flavour included in one way or another to give that black colouring. For the pan seared dumplings, the chef stuffed these dumplings with fish paste and cheese. I do like the Yin Yang styled design, with the savoury cheese flavour going surprisingly well with fish paste.

Glutinous Dumplings - RM6.80
The glutinous dumplings were wrapped in pandan leaves, it is filled with fragrant sesame paste. I just love how the sesame paste oozes out the moment you bite into each piece. Chewy, and rather flavourful, pop it into your mouth at one go, and enjoy the sensation.
|Charcoal Buns (RM9.80)|
Charcoal Buns - RM9.80
For a taste of the exotic, do try out Tai Thong's Charcoal buns, filled with durian paste and salted egg-yolk custard. Love the durian taste, not so the heavy salted egg flavour. I think it makes the filling really very heavy, a taste that may not go down with everyone. It's rather good though, if you are adventurous and looking for that extra 'kick' in your usual 'pao'.
|Chilled Coffee Jelly Cake - RM5.80|
After having all that savoury and tasty dim sum, you do need some dessert to wash it all down. What better way that to try out Tai Thong's new Chilled Coffee Jelly Cake, made from dark coffee and milk coffee. Layered in beautiful dark and light brown colours, the smooth chilled jelly has that robust coffee flavour, going down the throat tastefully and nice. So if you haven't yet, head to your nearest Tai Thong restaurant today and try out their Black Temptations today!
