Gempak Raya Bersama Jakel 2015 @ Jakel Shah Alam

With their motto of "Ingat Raya Ingat Jakel", this Ramadan and Raya festival is made even livelier with the Gempak Raya Bersama Jakel 2015 programme. The programme and roadshow is held in conjunction with Aaron Aziz's Baju Melayu collection, Nabil Ahmad's Baju Melayu collection as well as Upin Ipin Baju Melayu collection launches. New style, new design, it has to be Jakel.

This year, Jakel announced the new addition of Nabil Ahmad as their ambassador, while remaining the ever popular Aaron Aziz as the other Baju Melayu ambassador. Jakel's objective of targeting the younger generation market segment as well as keeping up to date with today's fashion really hits the spot with their new ambassador.

I was there this morning to check out the official media launch, where Aaron Aziz, Nabil Ahmad, Mia Sara, Rykal Iskandar and Upin & Ipin graced the launch with their presence. Aaron Aziz's 2013 and 2014 collection has been a hit among shoppers, going strong into the year 2015.

What's exciting this year, Jakel announced the new and latest Upin & Ipin Raya Collection by Jakel. Les' Copaque Production Sdn Bhd for the first time collaborated with Jackel to come out with a collection that is aimed at parents who are on a look out for quality and affordable products for their children. I found it interesting that the new Upin&Ipin baju melayu and baju kurung for kids even has their logo in front.

According to the managing director of the Jakel Group, Datuk Mohamed Faroz Mohamed Jakel, Upin & Ipin were chosen to be their baju melayu and children's baju kurung ambassador as they want parents and children to be satisfied and excited with their range. This in turn will make Jakel a one stop shopping centre for parents and children, in line with their one-stop-centre concept.

More than 30 colours and design were produced for Raya this year special for this year's collection. The Baju Raya Upin & Ipin package includes the baju melayu buttons and sampin, complete with Upin & Ipin's logo, specially designed for their first collection this year.

Jakel Trading Sdn Bhd organized a couple of activities specific to the Gempak Raya Bersama Jakel 2015 programme. Among them were the 'happy hour' auction sessions, where each of the Jakel ambassadors ran fun auctions for the Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz, Baju Melayu Nabil Ahmad and Baju Raya Upin & Ipin collection. I found it really interesting, where the public had a chance to purchase these clothing at a very special price from their idols.

On top of being able to purchase the new collections from the Jakel ambassadors, shoppers had a chance to snap photos with their favourite celebrities during the special Meet & Greet session. The two collection, Baju Melayu Aaron Aziz and Nabil Ahmad are different in the fabric used as well as the colours, where one is bright orange while the other had a very bright shade of green. They have other colours too, blue, peach, and chili red among the selection.

Jakel Shah Alam also gave out a total of 100 free baju melayu collection to the first 100 patrons. For the first 400 customers that have made purchases of baju melayu, they will be given a present of the baju melayu collection. It was indeed a grand launch, where Jakel even opened up a separate giant 'guadang' at the side, with discounts up to 85% and prices going as low as RM15 per piece.

  2. It looks like a very lively event. I'll talk to my Muslim friends bout this. It's great to be reading about this at your site after all the racial issues that have been around in the media. We need more Malaysians like yourself.
