A month ago or so, I've had the chance to visit Daisuke Salon De Coiffure at 3 Two Square to try out their latest CO2 Soda Spa Hair & Scalp Foam treatment. Now all this self pampering sessions are new to me, but I've always needed some form of treatment for my receding hairline aka in serious need of scalp treatments.

Beautiful decor inside the salon 

A private room for customers who wants more private space 

Arriving at Daisuke Salon De Coiffure, I was surprised how comfy and premium it looks inside. With ample space, and beautiful decor, there's even a private room for customers who needs more private space due to their religion or other reasons, very thoughful of the salon. Now I was there to try out their soda spa foam, so let's get on to it shall we.

So what exactly is this Soda Spa Foam? A fine, rich foam created from carbon dioxide, this japan made product is so simple to use. Just apply and rinse off this simple pack brings a shining beauty to the face, hair and body. Think of it as a hot-spring, when you take a carbonated bath, your body is covered with gas bubbles. It is said that this carbo dioxide gas absorbed from the skin makes the capillaries widen and increases blood flow.

In Japan, the water which contains more than 1g carbon dioxide per 1 liter (1000ppm) is accepted as a medical treatment spring, and hot-spring therapy is adopted more and more in medical site. Here I have the equivalent, where my face was flushed and felt warm the moment it is applied. It's supposed to increase blood flow which should be a good thing. 

The soda spa when applied to the face improves circulation in the skin, so that the cheeks will have more colour giving you that lively feel. Of course, for the ladies, it's even better, where it moistens the skin, improves the absorption of your next skin care and so on.

I went ahead to have it applied to my scalp and hair as well. Various key points on my scalp were targeted with these carbon dioxide foam to stimulate the points. A two step washing was done, with water from both steps being collected to show me how much cleaner the water is after the 2nd wash. Supposedly giving an improved scalp, I have no complains, and blow drying the hair after the treatment gave me a very light fluffy feeling.
