A couple of weeks back, on a bright hot Sunday morning sacrificing my Sunday sleep, I took up the Nestle Drumstick Most Adventurous Challenge activity over at the entrance of Sunway Lagoon. For somebody who has been neglecting to exercise recently, I was completely taken aback when asked to join in this challenge reminiscent of a mini wipeout challenge.

Nestle Drumstick Most Adventurous Challenge
Date: 6 October 2013
Venue: Blue Atrium Sunway Lagoon
Task: To get down and dirty running through an obstacle course in pitch darkness.
The carnival-like atmosphere that morning
The obstacle course challenge was actually a run-up to introduce Nestle's latest campaign on Facebook, the Nestle Drumstick Most Adventurous Challenge going on from 30th Sept to 10th Nov 2013 with more than RM100,000 prizes to be won. Head on to their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NestleDrumstick to learn more now! In the meantime, here's a quick recap on what transpired that morning, with me ending up wet, powdered and slimed.

Reaching the venue in front of Sunway Lagoon entrance for the Nestle Drumstick Most Adventurous Challenge, I did not expect to take up any challenge initially. In fact, I was half-expecting to just snap some photos of the bloggers and participants before heading home to my sweet bed. It was not to be, as I got dragged into registering my name for a round of dirty wet strenuous (to me) activity.
That's me, all decked up with protective gear in anticipation of the challenge
The task was pretty simple, to run into the Nestle Drumstick tent, grab a Nestle Drumstick ice-cream, and run out. That was before the good folks from Nestle added in the pitch black darkness atmosphere in the tent, a 5-second time limit to run out, and all sorts of obstacles blocking my path out. The obstacles weren't your usual water splashing, as they included flour, some jelly-slime thingy, tyres, and even padded sticks poking out. It wasn't easy I tell you.

Up for grabs in the challenge for bloggers and the public was an RM50 cash prize, and 1 Sunway Lagoon theme park all day pass. I was a lot more interested with the cash, hence I really put my heart and soul into the run; running, crawling, and tumbling out the tent. Lucky for me, I did it all within the 5 seconds time limit!

Hey, it's all good, thumbs up all the way!
Throughout that hot day, I watched as each of my blogger friends took the challenge, some ending up wetter and dirtier than others. Everyone was is good spirit though. One thing which I like when I hang out with fellow friends and bloggers, everybody has these big sweet smiles lifting up the atmosphere. Of course, the RM50 I won did help in a way to keep me smiling.
