Charriol 30th Year Anniversary Launch @ Singapore

Late last year, 18th October 2012 to be exact I was at the Charriol Geneve Starhill Gallery Flagship Store Grand Opening and I must say, the watches and jeweleries from Charriol were really beautiful. It was a new experience for me that time, and when I was invited to catch their 30th Year Anniversary Launch in Singapore a month back, it was unfortunate I could not make time to attend it. Anyway, here's a short writeup of what transpired in Singapore from the press release given.

"Charriol is an international luxury brand that specializes in fine Swiss timepieces, jewellery, and accessories. In 1983, it was founded in Geneva by Philippe Chariol. Today it is distributed through a global network of 3000 retailers, 485 Corners, and 100 Boutiques"

To mark its historic 30 years, Charriol asserts its originality and unparalleled energy with a host of exciting additions in each collection – the culmination of two years’ product and brand development.  Fresh from the prestigious BaselWorld international watch and jewellery show in Switzerland last March/April 2013, Charriol debuts in Asia the new additions to its St-Tropez™, Celtic®, Celtica™, and COLVMBVS™ ranges, and introduces the modern AEL watch collection as a new product line.

Founder and owner Mr. Philippe Charriol speaks about the life and spirit of the company in the last three decades, “Everything we do at Charriol is conceived in the same spirit, that of the ‘art of living differently’ (L’art de vivre la difference). This means having the courage to listen to your dreams and the audacity to see them through. This passionate mindset is expressed in all Charriol creations, from timepieces to jewellery and is how our customers live, too.”

As part of Charriol’s 30th year anniversary efforts, the brand also rolled out a dynamic campaign which comprises enhanced digital communications, the opening of several ‘fifth-generation’ boutiques, an expanded sales network, and a significant push to showcase the brand’s growing portfolio.

When asked about the Malaysian market, Mr. Charriol expressed his confidence saying, “We believe Charriol completes an image, a spirit and a look to fashion-forward Malaysians who value both design and top quality in watches and jewellery. We would like to build and grow the brand in the country with the aim to make Malaysia a focal market in the near future."

"Wealth and appetite for luxury have been growing in Malaysia, as affluent Malaysians now seek for a brand that can reflect their personality and wealth.  I believe Charriol caters to their discerning taste and lifestyle.”

Today, Charriol is currently distributed through a global network of 185 boutiques and 3,800 sales outlets. In Malaysia, the Charriol flagship boutique is located on the Adorn Floor of Kuala Lumpur’s own Starhill Gallery at Jalan Bukit Bintang.
