H-Artistry Penang 2013 Meet & Greet Session

Fresh off attending the press conference / meet & greet session for Hennessy Artistry Penang 2013 at G Hotel this afternoon, here I am sharing some photos of the artistes that will be performing tonight. Similar to last year's super clubbing event, media and bloggers were whisked over to Penang from KL to cover and party the night away.

It did not take long before the 3 artiste groups arrived. Kicking off the press conference was MC Julie Woon, as she is affectionately called "DJ Juju" by the Hong Kong hip-hop outfit 24 Herbs today. The artistes that arrived this afternoon for our Q&A were the group 24 Herbs, the really dashing and handsome DJ Andy Murphy from Australia and DJ Nicole Chen from Singapore. Beautiful people I might say.

Performing in Malaysia for the first time this Hennessy Artistry event, 24 Herbs had only nice words to describe Penang Island. Sand and water were some of the words I remembered being used. All is great though, as all the members of 24 Herbs from Hong Kong were really jovial and friendly. Hard to imagine them as the tough talking hip-hop persona they portray in their performance.

The other really good looking artiste, DJ Andy Murphy won over nearly all the female participants in today's press conference. I would give him my sign of approval as well, as he does have the really dashing look. One of Australia’s most prolific young DJs, constantly touring the world and making appearances in clubs, events and international dance music festivals, it was a great feeling meeting him up close and personal.

When Nicole Chen walked up to take her seat amongst the artistes performing tonight, my initial thoughts were that she looks really young and sweet. But wait until she spins her set, then be prepared to be blown away by her electrifying up-tempo electro-house / dirty-dutch sets. Another prominent DJ from Singapore, I am rather excited to feel her performance at Hennessy Artistry tonight.

Hennessy Artistry Penang 2013 Release

• The first of two H-Artistry events planned for 2013 will be taking over the Penang Island this 25 May, at the newly refurbished SPICE (Subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre) formerly known as PISA (Penang International Sports Arena). 

• The event will feature a never-before-seen set up, unlike any previous H-Artistry events, with the party starting as soon as revelers step into the enclave.

• The H-Artistry stage will see a line-up of exciting local, regional and international acts, which will treat Penang revelers to a stellar mix of music styles and genres all through the night

• H-Artistry will also feature two solid sets of pumping dance music, as well as an Australian DJ Andy Murphy who is no stranger to stages of international dance music festivals 

Baby Martin's Injection Day @ Klinik Jawi

So there I was this afternoon over at the wifey Janice's place to bring Baby Martin for his vaccination injections. Driving a short distance to the neighborhood family doctor over at Klinik Jawi, it wasn't my first time bringing him there. However this will be the first time I'm sort of documenting it as a post on Isaactan.net.

MeatWorks Restaurant @ Citta Mall

The other day, my colleagues and I decided to drop by one of the newer restaurants in Citta Mall for lunch. Meatworks Restaurant, the name itself brings forth images of meaty delights, which was close to what we had that afternoon. Located near the entrance of Citta Mall, the restaurant was not that hard to locate.

Sunday Family Dim Sum Brunch @ The Emperor Dorsett Grand Subang

Now I've tried before the scrumptious dim sum buffet at Dorsett Grand Subang last year (Emperor Grand Dorsett Subang Dim Sum Buffet) so I was delighted to get the chance to sample their Sunday Family Dim Sum Brunch last weekend. This round it was a tad different, where I went along with my mother, Janice and baby Martin.

Carlsberg Where's The Party 2013 Coming Soon

It's the season of parties, and what better news than to hear that Carlsberg's Where's The Party will be coming back again this July 2013. Restoran Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot @ Desa Setapak

Braving the rain last evening on a lookout for some hot meal with Janice, we were pleasantly surprised to see a new branch of the Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot restaurant in my neighborhood. Serving basically hot pots of chicken, pork, beef or fish, it was my first time trying it out even though I've read about this restaurant before.

Bad Boy Cooks @ Oasis Ara Damansara

Bad Boy Cooks, now that's a pretty catchy name, especially when the tagline for this restaurant is "Bad Boy Cooks Real Food". It was my first time over to this eatery, as well as my first time to the pretty Oasis Ara Damansara area. The whole area looks real serene with the man made lake and all.
