Lung Cancer & Melanoma Awareness Workshop Generally everyone has experienced the devastating effects of lung cancer, impacting either ourselves, or our loved ones, in one way or another. This is hardly surprising, considering that lung cancer is the most common cause of death from cancer worldwide, accounting for nearly 1 in 5 -people! Scary. Meet Mr. Dengue, The Unwanted Guest  Everyone knows Dengue is bad, bad for you, bad for me. Heck, even I was hospitalised for a week last year, along with the wife and my kid for dengue infection. But while dengue awareness is high, poor attitudes remain. As recently as last month, public sentiment remains indifferent to dengue, a painful and debilitating disease that can affect quality of lives up to six weeks post recovery. “I have heard stories about dengue but we never really did anything about it at home because we did not think it would affect us,” is one current example of public response to dengue. Hard Rock Hotel Penang's Pinktober 2012

A couple of weeks back, on the 6th of October 2012 to be exact I was at Hard Rock Hotel Penang for another one of their happening event. This time around, it's an event for a really good cause, the 2012 global Pinktober campaign . What's it about? In a nutshell, it's a month-long philanthropic initiative, created by Hard Rock to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.
