Samsung Galaxy A33 5G - Unboxing & First Impressions

So I had the previous generation, and now Samsung Galaxy came up with an updated, more awesome Samsung Galaxy A33 5G. Being a fan of the Galaxy range since the S8 which I had many eons ago, I was excited when chancing upon the latest piece recently.

It’s definitely a bang for the buck smart phone. It’s no longer the lowest range in the A series as there’s the Galaxy A13 and A23 to fit the lower range. I would say this is the perfect mid range, packing many useful features for day to day use. Check out the unboxing of the latest Samsung Galaxy A33 5G below as well as my first impressions on it.

I was surprised by the thinness of the box that the Samsung Galaxy A33 came in. No-frills indeed, the image of the phone on the outer box showcases the actual colour of the phone inside, so you know exactly which colour you’ll be getting. I was told these came in an array of bright colours, awesome blue, black, white and peach to be exact. I however went for the more subdued Awesome Black colour this time around.

Four colour choices

Opening the package, we’re presented with the sleek looking Samsung Galaxy A33 5G. It almost looks like my previous A32, but the new version is packed with new and latest technology. However, I quickly found out why the packaging is so slim, as unboxing shows us the contents which consists of the usual documenttions, quick start guide, and the USB-C cable (They don’t ship with the proprietary Samsung travel adaptor anymore, so be sure to re-use the ones you have at home). I don’t have much problem with this, as I have more than my fair share of charging blocks at home.

Coming in at 186gm in weight its a whole 20gm lighter than it’s predecessor the Galaxy A32. Good job here, and even though it feels light, it definitely feels substantial in the hand. The main display itself is a 6.2 inch with rounded corner with an FHD+ Super AMOLED display of 1080 x 2400.

This time around I had the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G in the sleek matt black, aptly named the Awesome Black colour. Nothing much to shout about for the colour choice, but the matt texture of the phone just feels so good. Turning the phone around, you get 4 rear cameras (48.0 MP + 8.0 MP + 5.0 MP + 2.0 MP with F1.8 , F2.2 , F2.4 , F2.4 capabilities). Even the front camera sports a 13MP resolution, so you’re sure to get a good selfie shot, anywhere, anytime.

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G comes with a whopping 5,000 mAH battery, so you’ll easily get 2 days of usage out from the device. I’m more than pleased with the battery capacity.

Check out Samsung’s website for the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G (https://www.samsung.com/my/smartphones/galaxy-a/galaxy-a33-5g-awesome-black-128gb-sm-a336ezkhxme/) for the detailed specifications. I’ll be following this post with a review of the phone in my next blog post, so wait up for it!
