Chili’s Malaysia @ Citta Mall, Ara Damansara

Now I haven't been to Chilis often, the last I remembered was a couple of months back at the one in KLCC. Today's review will be on their noms at Chili’s Malaysia @ Citta Mall, Ara Damansara, which I tried a few weeks back. Check out what we had below.

Chili’s Malaysia

Chili's outlet at Citta Mall is situated at one corner of the neighbourhood mall, providing a comfy atmosphere for family and friends. They serve a mix of Tex-Mex, classic American and international flavours, on the menu. We did sample a few of their offerings, and it did tantalise the senses, beginning with the Triple Dipper shown in picture above.

The Triple Dipper (RM34.20) consists of three pickings of your choice, choosing from Chicken Crispers, Wings Over Buffalo, Southwestern Eggrolls, Craft Burger Bites and Spiced Breaded Onion Rings.

This round we tried the Southwestern Eggrolls, a crispy flour tortillas stuffed with juicy chicken, black beans, corn, Jalapeño Jack cheese, chopped green peppers and spinach, Wings Over Buffalo, chicken drummettes hand-tossed in the addictive spicy Buffalo wing sauce, and Spiced Breaded Onion Rings that’s dusted with Southwestern spices.

Sante Fe Quesadillas (RM29.95)

With a heavy Mexican influence in this dish, we tried Chili's Sante Fe Quesadillas served with tender grilled chicken, shredded Jack cheese, fresh corn salsa, and drizzled with special zesty citrus Santa sauce. Not a bad combination, with generous amount of ingredients inside. There is a choice of Beef or Prawns as alternatives to chicken.

Sweet & Sour Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl (RM29.95)

A rather different type of salad was served next, the Sweet & Sour Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl. I do not quite fancy salads, but here it does look appetizing with marinated grilled chicken, house-made corn & black bean salsa, rice, black beans, and topped with house-made pico de gallo, fresh filled greens, chopped cilantro, crispy tortilla strips, fresh sliced avocado and a drizzle of sweet & sour sauce. A healthy kind of mix.

Classic Ribeye (RM58.85)
Classic Ribeye (RM58.85)

I always tell my friends, when in doubt go for their steaks. It was a pleasant steak eating experience that afternoon, when presented with the perfect looking and tasting Classic Ribeye. Even the loaded mashed potatoes with meaty bits at the side tasted really good, not forgetting the seasonal vegetables. I truly enjoyed my tender cut 10 oz. ribeye steak. Seasoned with Chili's special seasonings, and topped with butter, I don't need any sauce to go with it.

Country Fried Steak (RM49.95)
Country Fried Steak (RM49.95)

A twist on your usual steak dish, the Country Fried Steak is served deep fried in their special batter, served with sweet corn on the cob and mashed potatoes with creamy black pepper gravy at side. 4oz of meaty goodness, i did find the batter used and the sauce a tad too salty for my liking. If only it wasn't so salty I would have enjoyed this dish more.

We ended our meal at Chili’s Malaysia @ Citta Mall, Ara Damansara with a very sweet note, having their desserts, Skillet Toffee Fudge Brownie and Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. The Skillet Toffee Fudge Brownie was doused in caramel sauce and toffee pieces topped with chocolate-coated vanilla ice cream with that crunchy bite. Good stuff. Do try out the fares at Chili's whenever you are in the mood for some western styled cuisine.
