It was another feast for the stomach a couple of weeks back at Dorsett Grand Subang's Ramadhan Preview. I had the opportunity to dine there, where scrumptious dishes were laid out in the buffet spread for our consumption. This round renowned celebrity chef Jaafar Onn and beautiful songstress Haiza were there as well.

Break fast or "Berbuka Puasa" at Dorsett Grand Subang is an occasion not to be missed. This year, Dorsett Grand Subang will be featuring a double treat at two of their restaurants namely their Warisan Desa @ Terazza Brasserie and Anjung Selera @ Melati during the holy month. Over 80 varieties of delicacies from local to international fares will be served during the special month.

Arriving at the venue just in time for the buffet to start, it was indeed pleasing to the eye to see the variety of dishes on the buffet spread. It wasn't as extensive as the 80 varieties to be served during the actual month itself, but it did serve as a teaser for what is to come. Check out below on some of the dishes served that night.

Kicking off with the breads and keropoks, it did get our mouth munching before we even started with the main dishes. I do love my keropoks, and once you get me started, it is hard to stop munching on those crispy delights. We had the Sup Ekor Berempah too, which went well with the breads.

The array of dishes will cater to the most discerning diner, from a selection of local and western delights such as the Nasi Briyani Gam, Rendang Ayam Kampung, Rusuk Kambing Vindalo, Roasted Beef with mushroom sauce, Chilli Crab and many more. This was on top of the various live stalls, with the staff cooking the dishes in front of you.

Spoilt for choices, I did enjoy the local Malaysian fares. Majority of the dishes offered were of the spicy variant, but that's fine with me because I love spicy food! On top of the main courses, there were various types of desserts at the buffet spread as well, namely the Bread Pudding, Badak Berendam, Onde-onde, Bubur Pulut Hitam, Penget Keledak, and Fruit Jellies.

During the month of Ramadhan, Dorsett Grand Subang will be hosting two venues in their hotel namely the Warisan Desa @ Terazza Brasserie, and the Anjung Selera @ Melati with two different pricing. Warisan Desa @ Terazza Brasserie will be available from 6pm to 9.30pm, with the buffet priced at RM100++ per person, senior citizen and children aged 6 - 12 get to enjoy 50% discount. Located just two floors up at the Mezzanine floor, Anjung Selera @ Melati will be serving a similar buffet spread with a twist. Diners there will be entertained with our local celebrity chef Jaafar Onn and the beautiful songstress Haiza. Be prepared to be entertained with live cooking and sweet songs as they will sing classic Malay hits, bringing nostalgia to the dining experience. Diners will get a chance to walk away with a lucky draw prize as well!
Available from 6pm - 9.30pm, the buffet Anjung Selera @ Melati is priced at RM95++ per person, senior citizen and children aged 6 - 12 years get to enjoy 50% off. For reservations at Anjung Selera @ Melati, do contact 03-50316060 ext 3032. Overall, the buffet dinner that evening was satisfying, not unlike any other ramadhan buffet spread. The unique thing here would be the presense of Jaafar Onn and Haiza spicing up the night with their songs.
