The Shepherdoo Centro Mall Klang - The Appetizers

The other day, I had the opportunity to dine at this quaint restaurant all the way over at Klang. The Sherperdoo located at Centro Mall Klang serves some rather nice western fare. For this writeup, I have actually spread out the dishes served over 3 separate blog posts because there were just too many good food that evening! Read up on my other posts here (Main Dishes @ The Sherperdoo, Desserts @ The Sherperdoo)

So there we were that evening to munch down on everything The Shepherdoo had to offer. This writeup will focus on the appetizers that we were served with for the evening. The Shepherdoo was located at the entrance of Centro Mall Klang, which was rather unique as it was a standalone restaurant. Anyway check out some of the appetizers below, before the main courses.

Grilled Chicken Caesar - RM18.90
#1 Grilled Chicken Caesar - RM18.90

For caesar salad lovers, go for this dish. The Shepherdoo's Caesar salad had the usual ingredients, tossed garden salad, crunchy bread, and bits of meat. To be exact we had romaine lettuce being tossed with turkey bacon, egg, croutons, cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese. I would have preferred if the meat were those crunchy bacon bits, but it wasn't too bad here. A pretty good starter dish.

Pollo Nachos - RM17.90
#2 Pollo Nachos - RM17.90

When having a drink with pals over at The Sherpherdoo, this appetizer dish is a must-have. The Pollo Nachos with generous amounts of home made fried corn tortilla chips doused with melted cheddar cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, salsa and guacamole, we loved the explosion of taste. Usually other's just serve the nachos in a bowl with some mayonnaise on the side, but here we had a a delicious combination.

Patatas Bravas - RM8.90
#3 Patatas Bravas - RM8.90

Instead of having your usual fries, why not go for The Shepherdoo's Patatas Bravas, which were essentially these fried baby potatos in a bowl with spicy sauce of tomato, garlic, smoked chilli sauce and lemon aioli. A more delicious alternative to your average french fries if you asked me.

Pollo Quesadilla - RM19.80
#4 Pollo Quesadilla - RM19.80

The Pollo Quesadilla is a Mexican dish comprising of flame grilled chicken strips, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and mix greens toasted on the char-grill. Wrapped in tortilla bread and served hot, this was a tasty and savoury dish. I do like the way this dish was prepared as the bread itself retained its crispiness.

Shepherdoo's Tapas Platter - RM29.90
#5 Shepherdoo's Tapas Platter - RM29.90

If you have a bunch of friends tagging along, do go for the Shepherdoo's Tapas Platter. These four different choices of starter came in this huge platter, namely the calamaris, peri-peri chicken, corn chips, Quesadilla de Hongo and Buffalo wings. It is a serving for four, so enjoy it with your friends!

These are only some of the starters and appetizers that we enjoyed that evening. Do check out my other writeups on the main dishes, as well as their scrumptious desserts.
