Beastly Movie

Come this March 2011, a new movie is coming to a cinema near you, and it's titled Beastly. Before you go, beast what? Check out my blog post on this movie. The movie is a modern day adaptation of Beauty and The Beast, starring Vannessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer. The tagline for the movie? "Love Is Never Ugly"

From the trailer, the movie can be summarized as a movie about this dude played by Alex Pettyfer who's a rich and an extremely handsome chap, but with a very poor attitude. And he chose to humiliate a fellow student, who happened to be a witch! The next thing you know, our Mr Handsome was turned into a Mr Weird With Scribblings All Over. Now he has one year to find someone who can see past the surface and love him for who he is, or he will remain "Beastly" forever!

This got me thinking of doing this writeup on the movie, partially for Nuffnang's premiere tickets contest.

If I were a Beast given ONE chance to prove that I am worthy to be human again, I would actually shower the people I love the most will all the care and love I can muster up, they who brought me up from small, who else but my parents! Come on, no matter how beastly we are, our parents are the ones that brought us into this world, essentially they’re the ones that made us human! 

But on a lighter note, if and if there were 2 chances to prove I am worthy to be human again, my 2nd chance would also center around the people I love and cherish. Chance #2 would be to shower my fellow blogger friends and Nuffnang folks with the all the new, best and latest gadgets I can afford! Now that would be nice ain’t it? Pity I can’t afford much, but it’s the thought that counts right!

Synopsis
Seventeen year old Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is the spoiled, shallow and incredibly popular prince of his high school kingdom. Entirely captivated and empowered by his own physical appearance, Kyle foolishly chooses Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen), a witch masquerading as a high school student, as his latest target for humiliation. Unfazed by his cruel behavior, Kendra decides to teach him a lesson – she transforms him into someone as unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside. Now he has one year to find someone who can see past the surface and love him, or he will remain “Beastly” forever. His only hope, a quiet classmate he never noticed named Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens), may be his best chance to prove that love is never ugly.
