All-You-Can-Eat Ala-Carte Dim Sum @ Yuk Sou Hin, WEIL Hotel, Ipoh
All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum @ WEIL Hotel, Ipoh
I was at WEIL Hotel, Ipoh the other day for a quick getaway (my writeup of my hotel stay will be up soon!), and it was there that I had one of the nicer All-You-Can-Eat Ala-Carte Dim Sum in town. Held at their Chinese Restaurant, Yuk Sou Hin, the dim sum noms are available daily from 7am till 11am. Check out what they have to offer below!

Interesting decor at Yuk Sou Hin Restaurant |
Yuk Sou Hin is a pork-free restaurant serving some really nice Chinese cuisine in a contemporary dining setting. It's located inside WEIL Hotel Ipoh. What's interesting is the fact that if you were to dine here, parking at the hotel will be absolutely FREE! Love the ambiance of the restaurant too, not far from what you would expect of a Chinese restaurant.
Steamed Dim Sum, and Egg Tarts
Oven Baked Mini Egg Tarts |
Steamed Prawn Dumpling
|
Steamed Spinach Dumpling
|
We started off with their signature Oven baked mini egg tarts, which were indeed flavourful and soft. They got it just right, especially the soft crust which fell off when bitten into. Choose your favourite from their menu consisting of steamed, pan fried, deep fried and baked, and sweet dessert at only RM32 nett per person. We then tried their steamed prawn dumpling and spinach dumpling, which had these really thin translucent skin, wrapping around the succulent prawn meat.
Steamed Siew Mai with Fish Roe |
Steamed Stuffed Mushroom with minced chicken and shrimp
|
Steamed Rice Roll with Prawn and Coriander
|
Prepared by the talented chef, we had more dim sum after that, continuing with the delectable Steamed Rice Roll with Prawn and Coriander, unique Steamed Stuffed Mushroom with minced chicken and shrimp, and all-time favourite Steamed Siew Mai with Fish Roe. Not bad at all, it did go well with my taste buds.
Pan Fried & Deep Fried Dim Sum
Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling |
Deep Fried Crispy Wanton
|
Deep Fried Bean Curd Roll with Prawn
|
We continued with the pan fried, deep fried and baked menu items, my favourite when having dim sum. It's all good, especially when we were digging into the thin crusted, very crunchy Deep Fried Prawn Dumpling, Deep Fried Crispy Wanton and Deep Fried Bean Curd Roll with Prawn. Dip it into the accompanied sauces, and bite down into the scrumptious meat inside.
Chef Special Golden Egg Yolk Custard Bun |
Watch that beautiful golden egg yolk ooze out
|
Osmanthus Jelly with Chinese Wolfberries
|
Another must-try dish if you are dining at Yuk Sou Hin would be the Chef Special Golden Egg Yolk Custard Bun. I just love how the delicious golden egg yolk oozes out of the bun. Bite into it, and feel that warm yummy filling spread out inside your mouth. Yumm. We ended our very filling meal with some very Chinese dessert, in the form of the Osmanthus Jelly with Chinese Wolfberries.
Yuk Sou Hin also serves Congee, and various other dim sum selection, so if you have a healthy appetite, go for all of it! For reservations, please call 605-208 2103. Do try them out when you are in Ipoh, and want to have some nice dim sums in a hotel environment.
