There's a whole lot of ramen spots that I've been to lately, but the good thing is, I still love them all. The soup is what makes up a good ramen dish, so it's nice to note that the new Bari-Uma Ramen @ Jaya Shopping Centre served up some really concentrated ramen soup with very nice ingredients. Driving has always been a passion for me , from the time I got my first car, up until now where I literally drive more than 80 kilometres daily for work. The high mileage usually translates to a very high petrol bill every month, hence I'm always on the hunt for better solutions towards fuel efficiency. No thanks to peak hour jams, driving nowadays has become pretty tedious especially when it's a nasty slow crawl on the road. Carpooling is out of the question even though it did come up during my thought process to save on my petrol budget. Using my Fuelly mobile app to record down every time I pump petrol, I am able to roughly gauge which petrol manufacturer and even petrol stations that gives me more mileage. In tandem with that, I've learnt to control my right food so that I can drive more efficiently, saving more petrol in the process. I've just came back from the Sesame Street Live - Elmo Makes Music Media Launch event over at 1 Utama this morning. Bringing Martin along was a pretty good move, as he truly enjoyed the Sesame Street characters and music, much more than us. Just for sharing, on this wonderful rainy Saturday morning. Carlsberg’s Friendtastic Machine tour recently concluded when it returned to Pavilion Kuala Lumpur on its final stop after eight weeks of touring the country and cementing bonds of friendship, both old and new. Early this month, it was my dad's birthday and he so happened to be with us in KL, hence we brought him out for a nice Bak Kut Teh dinner at Chuan Kee Restaurant along Jalan Genting Klang before surprising him with a simple birthday cake at home. There I was last evening at Pizza Hut Pavilion KL to check out the launch of their new and improved pan pizza along with 18 new items on the menu. It was during the dim sum weekend breakfast at Royal Gourmet Premiere Hotel last week, that I've had the chance to try out their mooncakes as well. This was in conjunction with the upcoming mid-autumn festival. It's the third year running that Premiere Hotel came up with their special 'home made' mooncakes, improving from year to year, with four flavours to choose from. It was my first time over at the Royal Gourmet Chinese restaurant in Premiere Hotel Klang . I was informed they had these rather nice weekend 'eat all you can' pork-free dim sum buffet, so there we were last weekend to sample some of their 'noms'. Owning a vehicle would mean that we will need to service it too, at regular intervals, be it every 5,000km, 10,000km, or 15,000km. I had the opportunity to attend a wine appreciation evening out with Wine Talk’s French sommelier, David Stephan a couple of weeks back. Held at La Bodega Lounge in Bangsar Baru, it was indeed a very nice laid back evening with good food paired with great wine. Wine appreciation still seems to be a mystery for a lot of people.
