Citarasa Utara Ramadan Buffet @ TIFFIN, WEIL Hotel, Ipoh
My local adventures brought me to Ipoh the other day for a staycation over at WEIL Ipoh. Since I was already staying over at the hotel, I took the chance to taste some of the local delicacies at their Citarasa Utara Ramadan Buffet. Held in the hotel, at their restaurant TIFFIN, the Ramadan buffet will run from 7 June to 4 July 2016. My writeup on the hotel room and facilities will be in my subsequent writeup, but for now, enjoy the feast for your eyes, and our tummy, below.

TIFFIN, WEIL Hotel offers a rather extensive array of cuisine, where you'll be spoilt for choice when picking your noms. Savour on their delicious Iftar menus, while surrounded by family and friends. The hotel itself is really clean and modern, being very new in town. Love how the decor is done, with high ceilings and ample lighting, which is important as I always want to be able to see what I'm eating.

The buffet consists of the finest northern cuisine with live cooking stations as well as a variety of international dishes. Shown above are the satays, Sambal Udang dengan Petai, and Bubur Lambuk, some of the dishes which I 'attacked' first that evening.

Having received its Halal status less than a year ago, TIFFIN offers a gastronomic-trail featuring all-time northern favourites such as Ayam Panggang Percik, Rendang Tok, Gulai Ayam Berkentang, Ayam Masak Madu, Ikan Masin Bulu Ayam, Puyuh Goreng Madu, Sotong Masak Kunyit, Bubur Lambuk, Kari Ketam Dengan Nenas, Kari Kepala Ikan Dengan Bendi and many more.

There's a whole range of food covering the northern regions of Perlis, Penang, Kedah and Perak. Also available at the Ramadan buffet will be live cooking stations such as Ikan Bakar Counter, Roast Lamb Counter, Indian Roti Counter, Shawarma Counter and Lok Lok counter, just to name a few.

Citarasa Utara Ramadan Buffet @ TIFFIN, WEIL Hotel, Ipoh is priced at RM78 nett (adults), RM68 nett (senior citizen aged 60 and above) and RM38 nett (children between the ages of 6–12). Do go over to Tiffin Restaurant if you're in Ipoh anytime soon and enjoy a truly authentic taste with wide selections of appetizers, main courses and desserts.

Wahhhhhhh!!! You kuat lihai, makan sampai Ipoh!!! Everything I suka - truly Malaysian. Sago gula Melaka my favourite! Ummmm...creme brulee not quite Malaysian but they sure look good, I like!
