International Baby Expo (IBEX) 2012 KLCC

Image
So I heard it was the 8th International Baby Expo this time around, happening right in the heart of KL, over at KLCC Convention Centre. As Janice is already in her 2nd trimester, we figured it was good to go have a look around at what the expo had to offer. Little did I know I would be walking away with RM 300+ worth of baby products at the end of the "walk".  International Baby Expo (IBEX) @ KLCC - August 2012

Frankly speaking, I've not been very savvy over the online shopping phenomena which is currently the rage. Fashion clothing are in. Where else can you get the perfect clothing with an affordable price tag if not through online boutiques? Recently Janice wanted to get a dress, where she actually browsed through this new fashion portal (The Fashion Bloomers).   The Fashion Bloomers

Well, I know Halloween is over and all, but this post is a special one where I would like to share this rather cool Halloween Treat Bag from my friend's Blogshop Concordia . With the tagline "The Germans Came and Conquered Pavilion" and "Instead of war, they bring good food and beers to the KLnites" I knew it was going to be a good evening filled with good German beers and food.

My Traditional Chinese Wedding Morning

Image
Today's post shall be of the videos that my dear sister in law, Soon Boon Koon just uploaded unto Youtube showcasing the events on my wedding morning. 25th September 2011 was the day I underwent the ceremonial tea ceremony , and the traditional fetching of the bride as well as the "playing" of the bridesmaid. It was also the day I officially tied the knot and said goodbye to "singledom". It was a rather traditional chinese wedding, the moment where everything fits perfectly into place. The beautiful bride, Janice The full video is still in my hometown, hence I really appreciate the effort that my sis in law did to cut it and posted it up to Youtube to share it. Do check out below for all 3 parts of it. Part 1 of the wedding videos starts from my Penang house where my "brothers" and I have our breakfast in preparation to head to the bride's house over in Sungai Bakap some 30km away. This was where you see my parents helped me to ...

Miramar Ferris Wheel Taiwan

Image
The Miramar Entertainment Park is this rather huge shopping mall over in the Dazhi area in Zongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan. I was told one of the attractions was it's giant Ferris wheel so during my trip to Taiwan, I wasted no time to experience this 70 metre (230ft) tall Ferris wheel, the 2nd tallest in Taiwan. The view from below this giant wheel

Tamsui Lover Bridge Taiwan

Image
A couple of weeks back I was in Taiwan, and this Tamsui Lover Bridge over in Tamsui district in Taiper Taiwan was one of the attraction spots we went to. Located on the western tip of Tamsui district, this place is called the Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf and is accessible by bus. To reach the place, one only had to take the Taipei Metro (MRT) Tamsui Line to Tamsui Station, and then transfer to Bus Red-26, 836, or 837. Janice and I in front of Tamsui Lover Bridge

Every wedding couples have their pre-wedding photographs taken nowadays, be it at a bridal house, by a photography company, or by friends. Technically, she chose her gowns, I'm suppose to choose my tux and shirts on the day of the photography itself. The bridal house we chose to have our photographs taken was Lasposa Bridal Gallery located in SS2. It was actually recommended by my partner's friend who took her pre-wedding and family photographs there. LASPOSA Bridal Gallery Sdn Bhd No.6, Jalan SS2/75, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Tel : 03 - 7877 1782 We were there as per appointment at 11am. Yours truly was in charge of keeping her handbag safe, snapping p...

Valentine's Day Flowers At Petaling Street

Image
Buying flowers on Valentine's day ? Are you out of your mind? Don't you know they charge double on this day? Well, those were the questions that came to my mind when I decided to get a hand bouquet today. And why despite knowing that I have to pay double for the flowers, do I still continue on my quest to get it? It's my ROM (Registration of marriage) day tomorrow, and I need a hand bouquet for my bride to be. So there I was walking down Petaling Street hunting for a hand bouquet. They sell cheaper flowers there as compared to other parts of KL. Even then, I knew I was going to get slaughtered by the florists. The florist The whole stretch of roads were filled with florists, selling a whole variety of flowers . As expected the prices were doubled. When I asked about marriage hand bouquets, I was quoted prices which surprised me, I did not know then that marriage hand bouquets were different from normal flower bouquets. These little buggers ( marriage hand bouquets )...

A Simple Meal On A Rainy Day

Image
It has been raining like the whole day, since yesterday evening if I'm not mistaken. Imagine waking up in the morning, and realize you do not have to work, while the rain pours outside your window. Well, that was the scenario for me this morning, and the bed beckoned me back to sleep. Anyway, I woke at around 9.30am, checked this blog for any new comments, checked my friend's blogs, logged in Innit, checked my mails, checked Facebook, etc etc. At around lunch time, I was still reluctant to go out to get lunch. Lucky for me, my fiancee whipped up a simple meal to stuff my stomach with. Thank you, I really appreciate you for not letting me go hungry. Anyway have a look below at my humble meal for lunch today. I'm full now. Thanks! A meal for rainy days Don't get me wrong, normally she will cook up some super 3 dishes meal on weekends, but it so happened the weather today was a bit too comfortable to whip up so much food. Oh and coupled with the fact we haven...

Yomeishu For Good Health?

Image
Recently my partner has been very tired recently, and last few weeks I've gotten her this tonic drink called Yomeishu. Previously I've only heard of this drink, but never tried it, and from what I heard it's usually used to build up the strength of mothers who just gave birth. I figured if it's good for them then it should be good for her. Yomeishu

My New Header Image For My Blog

Image
Finally I have it up and displayed on my blog at www.isaactan.net at the header section! For the past hour or so, I was sitting beside my gf while she was playing around with the tools to design my new banner. My new header image at www.isaactan.net Great thanks to her for the patience to sit through my endless complaints such as below. "The fonts aren't nice enough" "It's not centralized enough.... oh wait it's too centralized, I need it more to the left" "Eh, How come the background so dark, can lighten it a bit?" "Can I have a bigger X?" "How do we curve the banner?" "Omg, it's too bright!" Oh my, thinking back, I think I was a real pain. I must be real irritating. Anyway it's a simple banner but done with a lot of blood, effort and heart. For this I thank her from the bottom of my heart. Now my blog does not look so plain anymore. Have a look below to see how many files and variants w...
