It was an afternoon of delicious dim sum and delightful sweet mooncakes over at Oriental Chinese Cuisine, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar. It’s that season again, where one gets to purchase and savour all those beautifully made mooncakes. Let us start with the dim sum first shall we?

Bringing new flavours to their dim sum menu, we get to indulge in up to 50 fine crafted dim sum delicacies as well as signature specialities, double- boiled soup and dessert items to choose from the ala carte menu. Bring forth the noms!

Dim Sum Chef Ng Meng Loong from Oriental Chinese Cuisine showcases his creativity through a selection of handcrafted dim sum specialties. Choose from the unique Crispy Duck Skin Rice Rolls, Blue Flower Glutinous Rice with Chicken, Mushrooms and Sun-Dried Scallop to Red Bean Paste with Coconut Milk Bun and Matcha Buns with Pumpkin Paste.

All the dim sum available is one of a kind, which we get to savour that afternoon over at Pullman Bangsar. Pick and match, from the Eggplant Shaped Glutinous Rice Balls with Purple Sweet Potato, Chicken and Prawn Dumpling with Cordyceps Flower and Black Garlic, Cuttlefish Dumpling with Black Truffle and not forgetting the crowd’s favourite, the Musang King Pancake.

Chef Ng is also the mastermind behind Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar’s delectable range of mooncakes during the highly anticipated Mid-Autumn festivals. Taste traditional handmade mooncakes in Oriental Chinese with a modern twist, as they bring back to this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival delicious snow skin mooncake flavours that include White Lotus Bird’s Nest & Musang King Durian flavour - of which will be handcrafted by Chef Ng.

My first time trying out these two at Pullman Bangsar, the Musang King Durian and White Lotus Bird’s Nest Snow Skin Mooncakes and they left a pretty huge impression on my tastebuds. Luxurious, creamy and delicious, these come in a box of 6; 3pcs each flavour or 6 pcs of the same flavour for RM198 nett.
