Now here's a rather new-ish restaurant at Oasis Square, Ara Damansara, one which I've got the chance to try out the other day. Bon Appetit Restaurant & Cafe, and we were served with a scrumptious course dinner set. How cool is that? We even had candles lit up, a candle lit dinner no less. Read on below.

Bon Appetit, let the feast begin!

It was a six course meal to savour that evening at Bon Appetit Restaurant & Cafe. Located in Oasis Square, they serve Asian-Fusion food, and a bunch of Italian cuisine off the menu. No pork is served here, with a nice atmosphere to dine with friends and family. Dinner set is real nice, so let's begin with the Amuse Bouche shall we? 

Amuse Bouche

Amuse Bouche - Mushroom Bruschetta (RM8)

We started off our dinner set with the Mushroom Bruschetta, bread that is lightly toasted, with a lot of mushroom toppings. The mushrooms were melted with loads of mozzarella cheese, making it a really loaded affair. It was a tad too salty for me though, but it's tasty indeed. 

Appetizer 

Chilli Garlic Vongole - RM15

One of Bon Appetit's best seller, the Chilli Garlic Vongole served as appetizer did the trick for my taste buds. It's indeed spicy, even though it doesn't look that way. We have these Little Neck Clams stewed in a spicy broth of Chilli and Garlic. On the side, there's the garlic bread which you'll do well to dip it in the luscious sauce. Yum! 

Japanese Smoked Salmon Salad - RM22

Perfectly smoked salmon, the Japanese Smoked Salmon Salad appetizer delighted us. With generous amounts of salmon thrown into a mix of salad, roasted sesame sauce, and cheese, this combination of noms is a good one. Perfect start before our mains were served. 

French Onion Soup - RM15

Soup! Every meal must have some soup to warm up the tummy. At Bon Appetit, we were served with their French Onion Soup, made with rich beef broth and onions. Sweet flavoured, the soup is served in a bowl, topped with Gruyère cheese and crunchy croutons. 

Bring the Mains IN!

Salmon Steak and Lemon Caviar - RM38

From the whole list of mains to choose from, we went ahead to try out the delectable Salmon Steak and Lemon Caviar. A whole piece of salmon is served. The name itself is called Salmon Steak, hence the seared top complete with lines akin to my usual beef steak. Loved how this dish is served with potato pave and sauteed asparagus on the side. Unlike your usual fine dine dish, this one came with a large enough serving to satisfy! 

Grilled Lamb Shoulders with Ratatouille - RM30

I wouldn't miss out on ordering some honest to goodness piece of good meat. Here, we tried their Grilled Lamb Shoulders with Ratatouille, which came in multiple pieces of deeply marinated, deliciously flavoured grilled lamb shoulders atop some Ratatouille. Served with a side of mashed potatoes and flavoured with some light mint sauce, this comes highly recommended if you're dining at Bon Appetit. 

Pasta

Teriyaki Salmon And Mushroom Alfredo - RM 32

Pasta lovers! Do try out the Teriyaki Salmon And Mushroom Alfredo. Doused in sweet Teriyaki sauce, the salmon is great on it own. Paired with loads of Mushrooms, and a full bowl of pasta in creamy sauce, one of this is bound to fill you up to the brim! 

Chicken Confit Aglio Olio - RM 26

Something different from your usual aglio olio dish, here we had the Chicken Confit Aglio Olio. The chicken confit is one of a kind, with just enough saltiness to complement the savoury pasta. Not bad at all, but I still much preferred the first teriyaki salmon pasta dish.

Creme Brulee - RM 10

Now I have a friend, and he makes superb creme brulee, hence when I do try out the others outside, none seem to be able to match up. However the Creme Brulee at Bon Appetit did come close. A French classic, the caramelized sugar topping on the top did the trick for me. Underneath the layer, we had a nice creamy texture, a great dessert to end our meal. 

Triple Play Sundae - RM10

Such a unique offering, the Triple Play Sundae consists of multiple layers of Chocolate, Vanilla and Coffee Ice Cream. That perfect end to a great meal!
