Now I'm a big fan of Virtual Reality technology, or VR for short. Previously I've played with many gadgets and devices running this tech, so it was with great excitement when I found out Lenovo Malaysia has come up with their latest VR Technology Headset.

It was a coincidence that I saw this banner at the Lenovo store at Setia City Mall touting the #TheaterMaxMY Contest. Without hesitation, I headed in to experience and join the hopefuls inside. They had a whole booth dedicated to this device, aptly named the TheaterMax experience. 

Using the Lenovo K4 Note paired with the VR headgear, we could experience what VR is all about

Touted to be give a widescreen cinematic experience, TheaterMax is powered by VR technology built into the latest Lenovo smartphones. The TheaterMax experience is exclusively available on the Lenovo Vibe X3 and K4 Note, two of their strong products in the market.

A quick guide by the Lenovo staff, and I was on my way to experience Virtual Reality, the Lenovo way. To experience TheaterMax, one just needs to place the Lenovo VIBE X3 or K4 Note into the front of any VR headset. Look through the headset's twin lenses, and I could see a single, super size virtual screen. With these, we could view movies, TV shows, and play games. The potential is limitless.

While wearing the device on my head, switch on the sound, be it from the phone's Dolby atmos enabled speakers or via headphones, be ready to be fully immersed into the world of virtual reality. TheaterMax really makes us believe that we're actually in the picture and part of the action. This part I love.

Oh, before I forget, while at the Lenovo store, I was handed this brochure with regards to Lenovo Malaysia's VR Technology #TheaterMaxMY Contest. What's the prize? An opportunity to win an experience of your choice worth up to RM20,000! Now this got me excited, so I read on.

3 Simple Steps to join the #TheaterMaxMY Contest

Step 1: Experience TheaterMax at any participating Lenovo retailer. 

Step 2: Shoot a photo or video of yourself enjoying the experience. The keyword here to creativity. 

Step 3: Upload the photo or video to either Instagram or Facebook, tag @lenovomobilemy on Instagram or Lenovo Mobile Malaysia on Facebook. Remember to include the all-important hashtag #TheaterMaxMY

My entry for the Instagram / FB contest, watching the skies! 

Doing a pose for the contest (yes, I joined it too!), as pictured above, I have uploaded it to my Instagram and Faceook. Surprisingly it looked rather natural because I was so immersed in the virtual reality world, that’s how wonderful the TheaterMax is. I want to win that RM20,000 experience of my choice! With 20k, I can easily put it into an adventure of my lifetime, probably another visit to Japan, this time to see the outskirts.
