It felt like yesterday that I've gone for
GTower's Ramadhan preview last year (
GTower Ramadhan Buffet Preview Night 2013) yet there I was again, a year later for their latest ramadhan buffet preview. Time flies. The first green building in Malaysia, GTower will mark the celebration of Ramadhan with a special Ramadhan Buffet at the building's Mezzanine floor.

The main dishes at the 'Hot from the Claypot' buffet line consist of Nasi Hujan panas, Arabic rice, Beef assam pedas, Opor Ayam, Lamb Navarin, Shabbat Fish, Chili Prawn, Chicken Cous Cous and many more. We were spoilt for choice on which delicacy to sample first, and it was all pretty appetizing.

Break fast the traditional way by consuming dates and follow it up with thirst quencher drinks or juices. GTower has a rather extensive selection of Asian appetizers on the buffet line as well, such as the Rojak Pasembor, Kerabu Daun Selom, Bubur Lambuk, Kerabu Mangga Muda, Quinoa Salad, and Lentil Salad just to name a few.

One of the many ulam dishes. |
Head to the action corner for the all-time Ramadhan must-have delicacies, from the succulent roasted lamb station to the Satay station. Live cooking stations were there too, with chefs serving local favourites such as Curry Mee, Baked Red Snapper with Tamarind Sauce and Mee Bandung.

The buffet spread will also include assortments of fresh breads prepared daily by their bakery chef. The artisan breads consists of Pita Bread, Panini Bread, Garlic Naan Bread, Foccacia and soft roll breads. I'm personally not a big fan of breads, hence I'll probably stick with the meat dishes.

To round the meal off, do remember to head to their dessert counter where we were able to get the Bubur Cha Cha, Air Batu Campur, Pavlova, assorted traditional kuihs, Baklava, Tiramisu, Macaroon and other sweet treats.

One notable highlights for this Ramadhan buffet is the Giant Tiger Grouper from Terengganu. Run and managed by Goldis Berhad investment company, Lautan Bumimas Sdn Bhd, whose specialization is in spawning and research of marine broodstock. The fish is naturally bred and is a high source of protein, bred using non-toxins and chemical free environment. It was rather tasty, to say the least.
