We kicked off the meal with a rather nice Ramen dish, the 5 Star Aburi Char Siew Ramen. The dish itself had generous amounts of roasted char siew, spring onion, bean sprout, bamboo shoot, lava egg, and black garlic oil inside. I did like it, if not just for the char siew meat. I wasn't a big fan of the bamboo shoot flavour though, but the soup did come out being rather tasty.
#2 Shanghai Fried Ramen - RM13.90 |
Up next, the Shanghai Fried Ramen was a thumbs up dish for me. Stir fried with chives, carrot, cabbage, and bean sprout served with red pickled ginger, the dish was really fragrant, which sort of reminded me of the Japanese version of our local 'Maggi Goreng'. It had a nice taste to it, without being too salty, nor oily. Served on a hot plate, the dish came with a sizzle when served hot from the kitchen.
#3 Goku Raku Ramen Meatballs - RM5 (5pcs), RM9 (10pcs), RM17 (20pcs) |
Always a big fan of meatballs, especially pork meatballs, these Goku Raku Ramen Meatballs fit right up my alley. Love the miso paste sauce that came with these crispy on the outside, soft on the inside pork meatballs. The sauce gave a rather sweet, caramel-like taste to the very tasty and flavourful meatballs.
#4 Ebi Gyoza - RM10.90 |
Most Japanese ramen meal would not be complete without their signature Gyoza dish, and here at Goku Raku Ramen, it was no different. They serve some rather nice Gyoza, the Ebi Gyoza which is contains pan-fried shrimp, pork lard, and chives inside the dumpling. Pretty nice stuff to munch on while enjoying our ramen.
#5 Course Set Meal C - RM119.90 |
A close up on some of the yummy dishes inside Course Meal Set C |
