Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar Gardens Midvalley

Image
Now I have not tried enough Mexican food to know a lot, as my last Mexican meal was at Frontera jaya One. What I do know is that they have a unique flavour to it, being neither too spicy, with a tinge of sourishness in every dish. Last week, I had the opportunity to dine in at a new Mexican eatery in The Gardens Midvalley aptly named Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar. Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar

Johnny English Reborn (2011)

Image
Johnny English Reborn , the sequel to the original Johnny English movie played by Rowan Atkinson back in 2003. I can't say I remember much from the original movie, but I can say I was quite excited when given the opportunity to catch the premiere of Johnny English Reborn at GSC Midvalley tonight thanks to Nuffnang . Johnny English Reborn 2011 So there I was getting all hyped up for the premiere, caught up with fellow bloggers, had a nice dinner, took my cute red pillow from the car for Janice to cuddle up during the movie, and we're all set for the 9pm movie. Showtime! The two pretty Ms ChurpChurp and Nuffnang Ticket Issuers (Junee and Farah) Tickets for the premiere screening Johnny English Reborn places Rowan Atkinson in his role as special agent Sir Johnny English that plays exactly like a James Bond film, except this movie is hillarious! We have him coming out from seclusion after a really bad episode of depression from a botched security job to work with this a...

Sanctum 3D Movie Review

Image
After hearing a couple of friends mentioning about this movie, I decided to catch it for myself today. I've heard mixed reviews over this movie "Sanctum 3D" which made me even more curious to see what the fuss is about. The banner shouts out "From executive producer James Cameron, creator of Titanic and Avatar". It shouldn't be a bad watch, i whispered to my movie partner just before entering GSC Midvalley Cinema. Movie Poster GSC Midvalley shows this movie in both 3D and 2D, but I caught the one in 2D because personally, I don't like wearing the 3D glasses unless absolutely necessary. They should make 3D glasses that can cater for movie goers who wears spectacles. Sanctum Coming back to the movie, in a nutshell, the movie revolves around this team of underwater cave divers going down one of the largest unexplored cave system (Esa-ala-Caves). We have some handsome actors, and 1 babe in the cast. The movie starts off with one team on the way to...

If I Were In Burlesque

Image
A week back, I joint another one of Nuffnang's contests to win movie tickets. This time, the contest was fairly simple. All we had to do was to leave a comment in their website by completing the sentence "If I were in Burlesque, I'd be a star because..." as creatively as possible. It sounded simple, but it gets harder if you're a guy. Come on, the stars of Burlesque are mostly ladies, beautiful ladies, so how does a guy become a star in Burlesque? Well, my comment for the contest entry is as below. Don't laugh too loud. If I were in Burlesque, I’d be a star because I’m just like the girl who started from scratch, and climbed her way up to the top! However I’m the male version of the hot chick Christina Aguilera, let’s refer to me as the cool HUNK, Isaac Aguilera!  Initially, nobody would even notice me serving up their drinks as the bartender. Oh, I haven’t told you yet? In Burlesque, I start off as the bartender, shaking up those cocktails while mo...

Lion Dance At Centre Court Midvalley Megamall

Image
Tong Tong Tong Chiang! The sound from the drums were deafening at around 2pm today at Midvalley Megamall. There was a lion dance troupe performing at the centre court, the crowd was already very big by the time I reached. Hence I could not get a nice shot, but I tried my best to squeeze in. Lion dance in action Midvalley Megamall's chinese new year decoration this year was red themed. Red, red and red everywhere. The lion dance really liven up the atmosphere of the shopping mall, lifting everybody's shopping spirits. The whole lion dance took a good 25 minutes. Check out the pictures below of the crowd. Loud drums for the CNY spirit! Well that's about all guy and girls. Just wanted to share what I experienced today at Midvalley. I think they will have this lion dance everyday until chinese new year. Oh, and if you want some free mandarin oranges, be sure to wait till the lions finish dancing then collect from their mouths. CNY Deco

Sushi King Midvalley Megamall

Image
It has been quite long since I last had Sushi King, so when I was given a choice to have it early this evening, I thought to myself, why not? Since I was already at Midvalley Megamall, dropped by its Sushi King located at level 3.  Sushi King Lot T-015B (Level 3) Mid Valley Megamall, Contact: 03-2284 8762 / 03-2284 1502 | Opening Hours: 11am - 10pm The environment and cleanliness of this outlet was okay, but today most of the staffs were new, so they had problems taking my orders. I didn't really kick up a fuss, cause everybody got to learn from scratch right? Interior of Sushi King Midvalley Megamall The Kaiten Belt going around the interior of this outlet Ala Carte Menu The menu was pretty comprehensive and as we were ordering, something caught my eye. It was a small sign stating that this outlet serves alcoholic dishes and drinks. Now this got me thinking, I thought all Sushi King outlets were halal? Or am I wrong. I then tried to look for the H...
