Setapak Central Mall 1st Anniversary Celebration I was at Setapak Central Mall last weekend to celebrate their 1st Anniversary together with shoppers and lucky winners of their month-long campaign. Now I used to live at Wangsa Maju, and this mall has been my favourite haunt with family and friends. The mall used to be called Kuala Lumpur Festival City (KLFC) back then.  Since its rebranding in October 2015 , the mall has kept to its objectives of not just creating Setapak Central as an engaging shopping and lifestyle hub in Setapak but successfully created an alternative local alternative to local shoppers without the need to travel all the way to KL.  Setapak Central Mall 1st Anniversary Celebration

So recently I was involved in a project to narrow down top 5 makan-makan spots which I felt deserve a mention. Since I'm living around Setapak, Wangsa Maju area, it's only natural I chose the restaurants around my vicinity. Just the other day, I had the opportunity to try out a rather new Korean BBQ restaurant located a stone's throw away from KL Festival City Mall, at PV128 Setapak to be exact. Newly set up, with their first outlet located in Solaris Mont Kiara, Sae Ma Eul Korean (새마을 BBQ) Restaurant embodies this open BBQ concept, something different from most Korean restaurants that I've been too, which were usually closed up and located inside air conditioned venues. These past few days, due to the holidays I took the chance to wake up earlier and head for this rather nice dim sum spot nearby my place in Setapak. Zhung Kong Dim Sum , located just off Jalan Genting Klang behind the KFC Jalan Genting Klang was my choice of restaurant to have some early morning dim sum with Janice.  Zhung Kong Dim Sum @ Off Jalan Genting Klang (pic source: wordspics.com )
