Guinness kicked off the Guinness Anchor Berhad’s Oktoberfest celebrations recently, with an extra unique and very large giant replica of the Oktoberfest 2014 promotional mug. The country’s leading brewery unveiled Malaysia’s Biggest Mug at their launch of the annual beer festival. How time flies, it felt like it was only yesterday when I experienced last year's Oktoberfest 2012 and here we are again at the launch of the month long celebration to begin soon. As the month comes to an end today, so does the month-long beer fest called this Oktoberfest. I was at another Halloween themed Oktoberfest over at The Beer Factory tonight, and as usual the beers kept on flowing. "Malaysia's Own Oktoberfest", brought to us by the good folks from Carlsberg, was founded as a yearly event in 2011 with an aim to deliver Malaysians an authentic sample of this great Bavarian tradition, albeit with some uniquely local twists. Tonight's the first time I'm attending an Oktoberfest event thanks to GAB. I just cannot remember why, but I totally missed all the Oktoberfest gatherings last year. Two hundred beer lovers gathered tonight to celebrate the launch of GAB's Oktoberfest at The Social, Publika.
