A Mid-Autumn Garden of Paradise @ Cheras LeisureMall Mid-autumn season is alive and well over at Cheras LeisureMall, which I can attest to as I was there last week. Themed “ A Mid-Autumn Garden of Paradise” , the overall mall décor is inspired by the Jade Rabbit, an important folklore character of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and includes the display of rabbit lanterns to transform Cheras LeisureMall into a bunny haven! Why Do Folks Love Going To Chinese New Year Open Houses? Tong Tong Chiang.. tong tong chiang… and shouts of “Huat AH!” echoes everywhere this Chinese New Year. Well, that’s what comes to mind, 15 days of joyous celebrations and open houses. Oh, did I just mention open houses? Yes I did! CNY open houses, especially those event based property developers / ministers / anyone important ones are pretty awesome. Have you been to any yet this year? So, why exactly do folks love going to Chinese New Year Open Houses? I have a pretty good idea, a top 5 if you would like.. From lion dances, to fire crackers, red ang pows, Chinese Calligraphies and more, what's not to like?

IJM Land Bandar Rimbayu's Grand 'Harvest Joy Under The Moon' Mid-Autumn Celebration It was a superb evening out with the family, where the mum, wife and kids had a really great time at IJM Land Bandar Rimbayu's Grand 'Harvest Joy Under The Moon' Mid-Autumn Celebration last weekend. The food was good, many folks around, and best of all we got to experience the beautiful mystical fairy tale forest under a bright moonlit sky to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. Delicious Decade of Mooncake The mooncake season is upon us again. My first time over to Summer Palace Restaurant at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, I got to sample their mooncakes in conjunction with the Mid-autumn Festival celebrations. So there I was up at Avenue K Rooftop for the Tiger Bites Street Food Festival last weekend. Held way up on a roof in the heart of town came an extraordinary congregation of street food masterchefs for the conclusion of Tiger Bites. Just last week, I was at the launch of the Kuala Lumpur Oyster Festival 2015 by Southern Rock Seafood. Now we know most Malaysians love their seafood, especially oysters, hence this festival happening in October 2015 came at the most apt time. Just a couple of weeks back the ASEAN JAZZ & PERCUSSION FESTIVAL was successfully held on the 19th and 20th September. Working in collaboration with the Kuala Lumpur International Arts Festival under the directorship of Malaysian music icon, Michael Veerapen, the Asean Jazz & Percussion Festival drew a crowd of thousands over the 2 days.
