Full house, at Grandmama's Pavilion |
For their special Festive Flavour Set Menu, Grandmama's Restaurant has come up with some of their best Malaysian dishes in one set. It will be available from the 6th of June 2016 to 5th July 2016. There will be a total of four sets to choose from, depending on the number of pax ie: 2-3 pax (RM98+), 4-5 pax (RM188+), 6-7 pax (RM298+) and 8-10 pax (RM398+).
Seafood Curry Hot Pot |
Each of the festive flavour set covers appetizer, white rice, main hot food, dessert and drinks. My favourite dish that night has to be their Seafood Curry Hot Pot. A best seller at Grandmama's, this very creamy and "lemak-ish" dish, had a very fragrant and tasty flavour. Rich with coconut santan, with lots of herbs and spices, there were generous amounts of fish meat inside to satisfy even the most discerning diner.
Seabass with Chilli Lime Sauce |
Ayam Masak Sambal Tomato |
Next we tried their Seabass with Chilli Lime Sauce and Ayam Masak Sambal Tomato which is also under the festive flavour menu. The deep fried chicken dish is indeed very authentic Malaysian which is rather spicy, but very tasty. I like the fact that the chicken was tender enough, even though some parts were from the breast portion. Good stuff.
Paku with Sambal Belacan |
Always a fan of "paku pakis", the edible type, especially when stir fried with tasty and fragrant Sambal Belacan. The vegetable dish, Paku with Sambal Belacan could be taken on its own, or with your rice. Another one of my favourite that evening.
Udang Masak Gulai |
Sup Kambing Berempah
|
If you're a fan of seafood and prawns, then do try out their Udang Masak Gulai dish. Another "lemak" dish, with a slight different flavour from the seafood curry, it's a must-try. Add on RM9.50+ for a portion of Sup Kambing Berempah, which had lots of pepper in the soup, with bits and pieces of lamb meat floating in the mix.
Malay Kuih & Kurma |
