The All New Beach Club Cafe.. Mark 1.2 Grand Launch |
Invited by Carlsberg Malaysia to witness their new club location, aptly named the new Beach Club Cafe.. Mark 1.2, I was there rather early in anticipation of the activities lined up for the night. Strategically located just metres away from Petronas Twin Towers, the new Beach Club Cafe is hard to miss, with its two-tiered signature attap roof, way bigger than it's predecessor.

Welcomed by pretty ladies to the grand launch of the Beach Club Cafe.. Mark 1.2 |
Arriving at the media sneak preview of the new Beach Club Cafe, we were literally hustled upon a bus on a rather short journey from the current Beach Club to the present and more vibrant one down the road. With the sight of the 20-feet high swaying coconut trees welcoming us, the ambiance did replicate an aura of being by the beach amongst the hustle and bustle of KL traffic.

At the preview party, guests witnessed the launch gambit which entailed the lighting of a tiki torch symbolising continuity and survival, the epitome of Beach Club Cafe. This was quickly followed by a rather nice buffet spread and a line-up of dance and live band performances.

I was more interested in the satay than anything else, as it was my
favourite dish. Here, it was served freshly warmed up, with thick
crunchy peanut sauce, just the way I like. Of course the other dishes were good as well, but nothing compares to a plate of satay meat doused in peanut sauce.
