Happy Feet 2 (2011)

Image
Happy Feet 2 , the sequel to the first Happy Feet animation movie which came out in 2006 which captured the hearts of kids and parents worldwide, is out now in the cinemas. Expecting a feel good movie, I caught Happy Feet 2 the other day over at TGV Cinemas, Wangsa Walk Mall . I was not disappointed. Happy Feet 2! This round, Happy Feet 2 tells of Mumble (Elijah Wood) , the main character of the original Happy Feet who is now happily married to the beautiful and talented lady penguin Gloria (Alicia Moore) who sings really well. They have this really cute son named Erik (Ava Acres) who like his father was a bit of the shy type and outcasted by his Emporer Penguin clan because of a failed first attempt to dance. Erik is one spunky kid, who never gives up even when the going gets tough. Penguins everywhere, waddle waddle waddle We then see the shift in Earth's climate causing the giant icebergs to collide and move causing a disaster where Erik's clan is stu...

TGV 1st Avenue Mall

Image
During my last trip back to Penang last christmas, I did a post on 1st Avenue Mall. The post can be found here ( 1st Avenue Mall Penang ) That time, the mall was fairly new and it's TGV cinema wasn't opened yet. Well, today I was at 1st Avenue, and the 8th floor was packed with people getting ready to watch their movies there. This meant TGV cinema at 1st Avenue Mall was already opened and ready for business.  TGV Cinema at 1st Avenue Mall I find the new TGV cinema at 1st Avenue very interesting and rather different from the other cinemas. What's so special about this place? Well for starters, there is a rather c omfortable lounge area for movie goers to relax and just sit down to watch trailers of movies. This lounge wasn't just comfy, it was fully air conditioned, had nice sofa seats, and the lights were dimmed to a level that you could actually sleep in there. 3 lcd tvs with nice sofa seats and air conditioned The next time I'm at 1st Avenue Mall, if...

2 Movies: Due Date and Haunted Changi

Image
Last week, on a Wednesday movie day, I was at Wangsa Walk killing time. Why kill time when I was suppose to be working? Well if you happen go through my blog last wednesday it was the day I proposed! I was killing time waiting for my proposal flowers to be prepared. The cineplex in Wangsa Walk Mall is run by TGV. It's a spanking new cinema which was just opened this year April. The ambience was great, and I find the seats very comfortable compared to other cinemas around Kuala Lumpur. Here, I could actually stretch my legs fully while seated, most of the time in other cinemas, my knee would be hitting the front seat. TGV Cinemas Wangsa Walk Mall I couldn't decide on which movie to watch. That day there wasn't much choices, as most of the blockbuster movies I've already watch, namely Harry Potter. So i went ahead and chose what looked to me like a ghost movie. Why not, I'm always up for a good scary movie. Haunted Changi, that's the title of the first movie...

Loitering At KLCC

Image
Life begins after working hours. Yet again this phrase comes to my mind. How true that statement is depends on the individual I guess. Some folks are such workaholics that to them work IS life! No work, no life. I'm somewhere in between, no work no $$, no $$ no life, so theoretically no work is really equivalent to no life. Gee.. Anyway today after work, like any other day I was at Jelatek Putra LRT station to pick up my gf. She called me up to inform that she's still tied up with work so I was on my own. I decided then to hop onto the LRT to KLCC. At least I could kill time loitering around the mall while waiting for her. Purple Christmas With A Band Reached KLCC around 7.20pm, the first thing that got me interested in was this band playing at the centre court. They look the part, rockers, with the wild hair and good looks. The thing that I found unique was, all 4 of the band members were decked in suits and ties, playing slow melodic Christmas tunes. It really didn...
