First off, What Is EMS?

Short for Electric Muscle Stimulation, EMS can be used as a training, rehabilitation, preventive and as a beautifying tool. The impulses are generated by a device and delivered through electrodes on the skin directly above the muscles to be stimulated. The impulses cause the muscles to contract, so the result is similar to the actual movement of the muscles.

That's some pretty high tech 21st century type of training right there! I've experienced it, and it's good I tell you! In Malaysia itself, they have five studios, located in KL, listed below. The electric impulse stimulation works on the deeper muscle tissue as well to improve your posture as the way you feel: the blood circulation of the muscular and connective tissues will be enhanced which leads to a firmer, more toned skin. How EMS Training Helped Me To Lose Weight?


In a nutshell, 20 minutes is all that's needed for a complete EMS training session. During the session, I had to suit up, wearing the suit which will deliver the electrical impulses to my muscles. EMS is up to 18 times more efficient than a conventional gym workout, which scientific studies have proven. 18 times you say?! No wonder my weight has been dropping consistently ever since I began my training at Impulse Studio.

20 minutes of EMS training replaces up to 6 hours of conventional gym workout. That's a whole lot of hours saved. I rather be in an Impulse Studio for 20 minutes than 4-6 hours of gym training. I don't have time for that! The best part is that EMS training always trains all muscle groups instead of each muscle - a total of around 90% of the entire muscular system are trained simultaneously. In conclusion, all your muscles get zapped at the same time, bzzzzzzz it goes.

In one workout, my professional personal trainer will go through 12 to 15 functional exercise. It really works the whole body I tell you, with HIIT coming in during the 4th or 5th session which is super intense! Each session is fixed by appointment, so you can b sure the space and time allocated will only be for you. Very personalized training if you asked me. After a couple of sessions with Impulse Studio, I'm already seeing a difference in my fitness and health. From weighing close to 80kgs, even midway through the session I'm already lingering at 77kg, and hopefully there will be further reduction.
