Love the rooftop swimming pool, overseeing the entire city

With it's comfortable room, lounges, sky level swimming pool, and even meeting rooms to conduct those 'oh-so-important' meetings at. I've had the opportunity to stay over one night, so do check out my experience there, as below.

Crowned as “The Ever Happening City”, One City is the one-stop destination for any occasion be it business, entertainment, dining or events. It is an impressive integrated development situated on 77acres of freehold land that include shop lots, hotel, fitness centre, cinema, offices, retail outlets and M.I.C.E. venues such as a grand ballroom, seminar halls and meeting rooms.

eCity Hotel has 4 meeting rooms that are flexible, stylish and modern. Meeting rooms are located on the same floor for convenience and are supported by their business centre. All the rooms share a spacious lobby that suitable for cocktails, tea, displays and more. I had a quick tour of the meeting rooms that afternoon, with one seminar on-going. It simply works! 

My comfy room at eCity Hotel, One City, Subang Jaya

eCIty Hotel's standard and deluxe rooms aren't exactly the widest nor the largest, but they do provide exactly what you need, comfy beds (a choice of king or two twin-sized beds). Recognising that it is often the little things and small touches that make a difference when you are on the road, their deluxe rooms ups the ante on standard offerings. 

No-frills, but every amenities are available

The same sleek décor, cosy ambience and understated luxury permeates, complemented by extras where it matters. Enjoy the same spaciousness and sophistication found in standard rooms and the pampering comfort of rainshowers and elegant marble bathrooms. 

Meal in bed sir? Lovely room service

Arriving at the hotel, checking in during the late afternoons made me rather hungry. I had a quick glance through their room service food menu, and it didn't take me long to order my favourite noms. All the food were prepared from eCity Hotel's restaurant Sky360 located on the rooftop. Check out what I had that evening, it was very filling indeed.

Satay and deep fried items, a meal to be enjoyed in bed, what more can I ask for. The satay comes in beef or chicken, a dozen per order. Grilled and served with rice cake, onion, cucumber, and peanut sauce, my favourite. The Garlic bread had a very nice flavour and fragrant to it, crispy and crunchy. French fries needs no introduction.

Nasi Goreng Istimewa - RM18

Banana Split - RM20

A special mention has to be made for their Nasi Goreng Istimewa. Stir fried with chilli paste, prawn, chicken, choy sum and mixed vegetables, it actually had that wok-hei flavour. Accompanied with fried egg, deep fried boneless chicken thigh, pickle and cracker, no regrets at all ordering this dish. Of course, ending it all with Banana Split's the best!

Boardroom Lounge @ eCity Hotel

Nice spot to chill out while enjoying our beer and cakes

Combining a unique 3-in-1 concept, BOARDROOM is a café lounge-cum-bar located on the ground floor beside the hotel reception with an exclusive cigar divan that’s just beside the hotel lobby. We were there that evening after a nice dinner, just to laze back, relax and enjoy a pint of beer. The bar serves tempting cocktails and inventive mocktails as well as a good selection of other non-alcoholic beverages. I was intrigued by their choices of cakes too!

With relaxing light music playing at the background, I would think this place, the Boardroom is the perfect spot for casual business meetings, and gatherings among friends. In fact, you could just come here alone for that "me" time, with food of course! Spent the whole night just having a nice relaxing time.

Breakfast was a heavenly affair over at SKY360, their rooftop restaurant. With lots of meaty dishes, lamb sausages, pancakes and more, it did get my engine started for the day. SKY 360, the all-day dining outlet that offers delectable menu of authentic local favorites and tantalizing international cuisine with a breathtaking view of the Southern Klang Valley as backdrop. 

So that's that. It was a very nice stay over at eCity Hotel, One City, Subang Jaya last week. I highly recommend it for the business folks, or the casual traveller should you need a place to crash in the vicinity of USJ and Subang Jaya.
