Beans N Beans Korean Dessert @ Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya

Fancy some Korean Bingsu? These days, the weather is so hot that a respite is needed, and what better dessert to have on a hot day than some Korean shaved ice. Beans N Beans is a newly opened franchise Korean cafe at Damansara Uptown, PJ which serves different flavors of bingsu, 100% Arabica beans coffee and a variety of light food. I was there the other night to savour their fares, check them out below!

We had some of their recommended Korean Bingsu that evening. Made with 1st grade fresh milk, daily cooked 100% red bean and natural ingredients, Beans N Beans serve some rather nice bingsu. I did find the milky flavour to be a bit too much, but the owner did inform us he's on the way to tweaking it to perfection. Below are some of the Bingsu choices offered by Beans N Beans.

Green Tea Bingsu (RM16.80)
Green Tea Bingsu (RM16.80)

I was told the green tea used in the Green Tea Bingsu from Beans N Beans are sourced from Jeju Island, supposed to be some of the best ones around. Made with rich imported green tea, the bingsu is topped with a scoop of green tea ice cream. Now I'm not the biggest fan of green tea, but this isn't too bad.

Choco Bingsu (RM16.80)

Beans N Beans' crowd favourite will be their Choco Bingsu. Just looking at its presentation alone made me want to gobble the whole thing up immediately. Made with real chocolate, the finely shaved snow ice is complemented with generous amounts of Oreos, brownies, sliced bananas, topped with a scoop of creamy chocolate ice cream and chocolate wafer roll. Yummy stuff here.

Sparkling Grapefruit (RM12.80 Hot RM13.80 Iced)

Beans N Beans’ Red Bean Soup (RM12.50)

For those looking for a refreshing drink at Beans N Beans, there's their rather nice Beans N Beans’ Red Bean Soup. Presented in a cute cup form, they have blended the red bean soup together. Throw in some chewy mochi, crushed peanut, almond flakes and marshmallow, you have happiness in a cup. Do try out their sparkling grapefruit too for a different taste than the bingsu.

Chicken Bulgogi Sandwich (RM14.50)

Injulmi Honey with Red Bean Cheese Toast (RM12.50 each)
Injulmi Honey with Red Bean Cheese Toast (RM12.50 each)

It's good to know that Beans N Beans serve some warm dishes too, to fill the tummy up before enjoying the other Korean desserts. While we were there, we tried out their Chicken Bulgogi Sandwich which came with accompanying chips, and the Injulmi Honey with Red Bean Cheese Toast. Different flavours, both I like especially the toast as it's covered with crunchy peanut powder and almond flake.

Beans N Beans @ Damansara Uptown serves Breakfast Sets too from 9 am till 11 am (1 pm on Sat and Sun). Open 7 days a week, start your day with some healthy soup or sandwiches paired with a wake-me-up coffee for just RM15 nett. They are really new, so be sure to look out for the shop as the signage outside has yet to be erected.

  2. These things are way too expensive, like those Taiwan ones too. Give me our good ol' cendol...or bubur cacar or ABC anytime. Ah yes! I love pulut hitam? Know of any place serving really good ones? None here.
