Cultura Bakery Cafe & Cakes @ Bangsar Kuala Lumpur

Cultura Bakery Cafe & Cakes, this quaint cafe located at Lorong Kurau, Bangsar was our next stop in our #CafeHoppingMalaysia journey. It's interesting to note that amidst the residential houses, there's this very comfy and homely coffee spot, serving good coffee with a nice ambiance. Check out below on what we had that day.

Arriving at Cultura, we were greeted by the owner before being ushered to our seat. The space itself inside Cultura was pretty limited with it being rather packed on a weekend but we did have a little corner for us, the coffee lovers. Diners don't just come over for the coffee, but for the quick bites and food as well.

It was nice to see this very unique and interesting flow chart banner at the top, where it guides you on what to order depending on what you want. Very useful for those who arrive at Cultura wanting coffee yet haven't decided on which to order. The choices are simple, and yours to make.

Espresso - RM6

Piccolo - RM8

Coffee in Cultura are made from single origin Degayo beans, where the taste and flavour strays towards the acidic side and leaves your throat with a long yet pleasant after-taste. A hot cup of espresso shot and Piccolo came in rather attractive pricing, served on some very rustic looking tables and chairs. Choose the Piccolo for that different taste, with a different mixture of espresso and milk.

Cafe Latte - RM9

Cultura do serve some rather nice Cafe Lattes, with various flavours if requested. They have their house blends using three types of beans. If you opt for something sweeter than your average latte, then do try out their Crème Brulee Latte, a cup of coffee with intense sugary notes.

Banana & Peanut Butter Press Toast - RM9

Egg & Cheese Press Toast - RM7

If you prefer to have some bite and light food to go with your coffee, then you must try their press toast. Cultura serves a variety of flavours for their press toast ranging from banana & peanut butter, egg & cheese, to mushroom & cheese press toasts. It was all good.

The Banana & Peanut Butter toast is made using homemade peanut butter, perfect as a light meal or as a dessert, while the Egg & Cheese toast had a more savoury feel to it, with smooth, cheesy eggs inside the lightly toasted bread.

Japanese Cheesecakes

Chocolate and Caramel Puddings

Not inside the menu at the moment, we were the lucky ones to get to try out these cute Japanese cheesecakes. The Japanese cheesecakes were incredibly moist, fluffy and smooth with the right level of sweetness. The puddings however were pretty interesting. Served in these mini cups, they came in chocolate and caramel flavours, both having a distinctive taste of its own, a perfect dessert to end our meal with.

Do come over to Cultura the next time you're in the vicinity, or try out their coffee and fares at their second outlet in Ikano Power Centre.
