Held inside Nook in Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, we were treated to a wide array of traditional local Malay delicacies, succulent barbecue, seafood delights, and juicy roasted whole lamb. Along with appetisers, salad, condiments, breads, soups, main dishes, action counters and desserts, we were literally spoilt for choice.

The A-List Malaysian Feast is created by Chef Steven Seow and his team, offering Chef's star dishes. Check out more photos on what we had that wonderful evening. It was my first time to Nook, and I must say I'm pretty impressed with the ambiance, with modern 'space-age' furniture and table. Everything looked so bright and sunny inside the restaurant.

Their curry dishes were prepared just the way I like it done; thick, flavourful and very spicy. The ingredients inside both the fish, beef and chicken rendang were plentiful, leaving a nice after taste. Nook's selection of Malay dishes were extensive, with nasi lemaks, satays, rendang and various curries making the cut.

I find it interesting as more and more restaurants this year are offering lots of seafood for their buffet spread, which is a good thing. The prices of seafood are not coming down anytime soon, so having it in a buffet spread is always welcomed. At Nook, we were offered fresh prawns and oysters as well as the cooked variations, in the form of deep fried prawns and oyster au gratin.

It was a mix of western, malay, and oriental chinese dishes in the buffet spread, something for everyone. The steamed chicken tasted yummy, going well with the fragrant rice and vegetables. I do love the variety offered by Nook @ Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.
