7th Maternity & Children Expo 2014 @ Midvalley Exhibition Centre

Ever since the birth of Baby Martin, and even before that, I've been to each and every baby fair or expo in town whenever I hear of any. This time around, over the weekend, I was at the 7th Maternity & Children Expo 2014 at Midvalley Megamall. Read more on my experiences jostling with the huge crowd and queuing for diapers below.

Running for 3 straight days from 24th January to 26th January 2014, the first major maternity and baby expo for the year attracted droves of parents, with the car park filled up to the brim by 12.30pm. In fact when I arrived at 11.30am, it was already tough locating an empty parking spot in Midvalley Megamall. Everybody is looking for bargains, especially on baby items such as diapers, clothes and toys.

This time around, on top of looking for baby items for Baby Martin, we were on a lookout for newborn items as well, for the second one coming soon. One of the clothes stall did catch my eye, especially the one where they had these cute blue shirts with the 'Thomas Train' prints on them. Now Baby Martin has taken a liking for the blue Thomas train, and can identify it from his clothes and shorts. At RM15 per shirt, it wasn't too pricey.

Always on the lookout for bargains on diapers, I noticed the rather huge Huggies booth. With the usually pricey Huggies Ultra diapers on sale, I took the chance to queue with many other parents and snapped up four of it. Reason why I went for four boxes of diapers? Well, there is that free huge yellow Duckie float which I felt would be perfect to be used for Baby Martin's first swim. Buy four boxes of Huggies Ultra and you get to take home the duck. Yay.

There were so many booths selling everything a baby would ever need. Spanning a few halls, the 7th Maternity & Children Expo 2014 @ Midvalley Exhibition Centre is indeed a big one, with hundreds or more parents squeezing in between the small lanes, with baby strollers and kids in tow.

And that's how I ended our shopping spree yesterday, two hands full of baby products and diapers.

Even though the crowd was huge, I still prefer baby fairs in Midvalley as compared to PWTC. Probably because the space is a big bigger. The 7th Maternity & Children Expo 2014 @ Midvalley Exhibition Centre is still on-going today, the 26th January 2014, so be sure to check it out for some baby bargain items.
