Limoncello Bistro & Bar Suria KLCC

It felt like yesterday, even though it was a year ago when I attended the Svago & Limoncello Pre-Opening Hard Hat Party. Back then, construction was still on-going, but now it's ready with such a lovely environment. Located just in front of the KLCC park, Limoncello Bistro & Bar has got to be the best spot to be to sit back, relax and unwind over dinner.

Arriving at Limoncello Bistro & Bar Suria KLCC at sunset after a long day at work, I was really pleased to see how comfortable the environment was. With a lime-green interior, it was indeed hard to miss, with the seats facing outward towards the beautiful lush greenery of KLCC park. The concept of the bistro and bar is given as much attention in its details with each tile set to deliver an old fashioned style mosaic floor which radiates a traditional yet contemporary feel

Limoncello sports a long curvaceous bar which provides an uninterrupted flow from the bistro to the bar and beyond. The al-fresco outdoor dining setting of this bistro offers a serene and relaxing dining experience with friends and family. We were told the wood-fired pizza were one of the highly recommended dish here, hence naturally we had to order it. Check out below on what we had that wonderful evening.

#1 Tutti Fruitti - RM26.80
#1 Tutti Frutti - RM26.80

The salad came first, named Tutti Frutti, I felt it had such vibrant colours to it. With a mix of pomelo, strawberry, mango and blueberry, tossed in a light citrus dressing, the dish really opened up our palette and desire for more delicious food. Sweet and tangy, I do recommend this as a starter to any meal here.

Capricciosa Wood-Fired Pizza (RM 34.80)
#2 Capricciosa Wood-Fired Pizza - RM34.80

A unique pizza offering, at least to me, the Capricciosa Wood-Fired Pizza came served with this really nice egg in the middle. The preparation of the pizza was done at their fire stove, where customers could watch it being prepared in front of them. Unlike the usual pizza peparation, when being prepared via the wood-fired stove, it actually brought out a whole set of flavours. The crust was crispy, and I could not get enough of the toppings (chicken ham, roasted artichoke, marinated mushrooms, olives, tomato and mozzarella).

#3 Olio with Tempura Fish - RM32.80
#3 Olio with Tempura Fish - RM32.80

Janice ordered the Olio with Tempura Fish, which arrived looking real pretty. Simple, yet tasty, I had a few twirls of the pasta, and it was good, without being too oily nor salty. Prepared with garlic, olive oil and fresh chilli, the battered tempura fish on top completed this dish.

#4 Lemon Chicken - RM38.80

If you're up for some poultry meat, then do try out Limoncello's Lemon Chicken. Basically we had the chicken pan seared and served in lemon cream. With generous servings of vegetables and fried potato wedges on the sides, the chicken had this tangy lemon sourish taste to it. Definately a good change from my usual grilled chicken taste.

#5 Black Angus Tenderloin - RM98

Steaks have been my favourite dish, no matter which restaurant I end up in, I would usually try out their steaks. Here at Limoncello Bistro & Bar Suria KLCC, we were served with the Black Angus Tenderloin. Ordering mine medium rare, it came served in exactly the way I want it to be, lightly seared on the outside, while being juicy and tender on the inside. If there weren't any other dishes that night, I would have gone for a second helping of this dish.

#6 Italian Pistachio Gelato - RM12.80

#7 Banana Crepe - RM18.80

We ended our meal at Limoncello Bistro & Bar Suria KLCC with some sweet desserts in the form of the home-made gelato, and the recommeded Banana Crepe. Ordering the pistachio flavoured gelato, just because I find the flavour harder to come by elsewhere. The banana crepe was served with creamy nutty chocolate and cream inside, providing the perfect ending to our hearty meal that night.

With such a comfortable casual location, with its main dining area faces the KLCC Lake and fountain, be sure to check out this spot the next time you're in the vicinity. On top of the various food available, to further enjoy the night, Limoncello Bistro & Bar offers a great selection of local and imported beer as well as wines from around the world, which are great for chill out sessions with friends and family or to simply relax from a busy day.
